3 fold increase in application from India between 2016 to 2017 is a good indicator isn’t it ?how is that?
There can be many numbers of reason for that. USA situation, more information regarding this process, one successful application triggering multiple application etc. Please don't politicize this forum with half-baked theory.3 fold increase in application from India between 2016 to 2017 is a good indicator isn’t it ?
The number of Indians is not a big surprise. It is the heavy emphasis on English language proficiency that causes Indians more likely to get ITA.I feared IRCC more than God, at least when my application was under their mercy. Now I fear CRA and my bank.
On an unrelated note, I was just reading the newsletter from CanadaVisa, looks like Indian candidates are still dominating the EE pool (account for 42% of all ITAs in 2017) while the Filipinos, once a dominant force in 2016, are no where to be found. Is LMIA the reason why?
+ The Australian skilled visa category used to get 2000-4000 invites in a month ( bikweekly draws) now they have reduced to 600 since Dec2017.There can be many numbers of reason for that. Yup, that's exactly what I thought. They mostly got in through the food/retails industry which relied heavily on LMIA, but with the changes in Nov 2016, that door was closed forever. The number of Indians is not a big surprise. It is the heavy emphasis on English language proficiency that causes Indians more likely to get ITA.
I believe the drop in Philipino number is due to the reduction in points for LMIA. Their numbers got reduced after points for arranged employment was slashed from 600 to 50.
