Wow this is really disheartening.
I guess the only explanation is the large no of nominations issued last week.

Atleast we havent gone backwards. So the hope lives.

Shocking it is. Most people are saying everyone increased their score and go into 450s but I think you're right, it is the nominations which got people an extra 600 points. Hard to believe that 1200 people entered the pool with scores between 440 and 500 between May 4 and 8, almost like 250 per day. It has to be the nominations. May be 500 to 700 in nominations making peoples score above 800 and the other 500 people through regular entry with scores 440-500.

guys did ONIP gave invitations last week? I heard something about that !! that could explain this result?

We were discussing the other day on the 89th thread exactly about how there were ~750 new OINP nominations in the last month and that most of them were given out very recently. That's one of the more sound theories.

Applications suddenlly increasing threefold just by itself makes no sense.

Hello Everyone, Just a question i made my profile yesterday 8th of May 473 points, 28 hours ago. New draw came in today with 441, would i get the ITA? or was I supposed to apply earlier? Thanks everyone and may god bless you

If your profile was submitted and transmitted properly before the time of the draw you're in. Normally this process takes about 24 hours from the time you complete your profile. You can keep checking all your emails and times on your profile or just wait for few more hours to see if you got an ITA.

I feel there are a lot of people on scores like 441, 438, 435, 432. Reason, you may ask!

Well, me and a lot of my friends made a profile and gave IELTS. We all have same 3 years (or more) foreign experience but the only thing we have different is IELTS score, and we are all 3 points apart. 7 overall is at 432, 7.5 overall is at 435, 8 is at 438.

So going by that, someone with 8.5 must have 441? So there may not be many applicants with scores at 440, 439. Unless they gain or lose points from other, unlikely, sources. So keeping my fingers crossed and being hopeful at 438

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case but guess that is true. 500 to 700 people from May 1 with scores less than 440 got nominations and jumped to 800+.

This totally makes sense comparing to my calculations where i didn't account for OINP.

Yep, I'm CLB10, and I have exactly 441 points. I'm gonna tell you there are different makeups that give you those in-between points, tho. Like being more educated but lower ielts levels.

is there anywhere that we could check to make sure the increase is because of that? i hope this is exactly the reason

Exactly, but that combination is rather rare from what I have seen throughout this forum. Hoping that it IS as I think it is
