Looks like there is no consensus on 17IN or 18IN for April exams

What if i file using 18IN and if it comes 17IN in TRF ?
Can i explain the issue as a typo in LOE ?

Dont worry my friend. There is a policy on CIC express entry that you can update your ielts score details post ITA (if you receive your ITA). So you can still correct the details after ITA.

The condition is after the ITA, if you update your scores and

• Scores goes below ITA draw score, then we should decline invitation, or
• if score goes below your previous express entry score (during ITA), and still above ITA draw score. mention the same in explanation letter in additional docs about corrections
• If your score still remains the same or goes above previous mentioned express entry (during ITA), just update and do mention the same in the explanation letter about corrections/ new updates. Good luck

we got it as
18IN000000TJ855G

in our case we did not had any last name and it was mentioned as -. So I got it as TJ where T points to - somehow and J points to firstname/given name.

It was dated as 20 April

I have update the profile using the TRF formula using 18N for now.

Reason being in such a hurry is, I don't want to miss tomorrow's draw (if any).

And what is the deadline to submit the profile for tomorrows draw ?

I did use 18IN after seeing your reply on private thread.

I guess they follow financial year so April onwards it changes to current year.
Anyways hoping for the best on tomorrow's draw. What's your score?

The formula to calculate TRF number is known.
There is no known formula to calculate WES number afaik,

Again the senior members can comment more on this.

I also have same issue of not having last name. But i have given.from BC. Now m confused about what BC writes for last name, T or something else

For me ECA no of WES was the reference no we got at the time of application followed by IMM.

I had same issue in 2016. I had given exam in march 2016 but my TRF was starting with 15IN.

Thats why wanted to ask from someone who has given exam on 7th April 2018

18 is not necessary i gave ielts in feb 2018 but trf showed 17IN.

Strange.. But you can still put 18 & if different then explain in LOE
