So i have my ITA and filling up the application right now. For my address history do they require us to submit the proof of residence for last 10 years as well?
You don't need to submit any proof of residence. You just have to provide details. Make sure the details match up with your employment records and stamps on your passport if you have visited other countries. Mis-match there would cause doubts. As long as all details you provide match with each other you are good. They don't ask for any Residence proof. So i have my ITA and filling up the application right now. You are already at a good score with your CELPIP scores to receive an ITA after you create your profile. However it does not hurt to improve it and be in a safer position by giving IELTS. IRCC has no way to judge you on that even if you get bad score as long as you do not provide them to be the base for your score calculations. You are free to evaluate yourself using as many language tests you like and use the one that fetches highest score for you.Just going through some informative posts on this thread and decided to ask a quick question. I'm planning on opening an express entry profile by the 3rd week of October (I would have obtained my mandatory 12 months skilled experience by the 2nd week). Using the CRS calculator currently puts me at 449 with S:7, W:8, R:8, L:12 CELPIP test results.
However, seeing posts of how CRS points jump with a CLB 9 is making me contemplate trying out for IELTS. My only fear is that I may get something lower than my first test results and I would be required to use the latest results. Is it advisable to wait to enter the pool at 449, then try for an IELTS if cut-offs are high during that period, or should I risk my current average CELPIP scores for a possible lower IELTS test score.
Thanks in advance!
I would hold on for some more time as I feel there is possibility of score coming down to that. Only thing to consider is that your life events are not going to bring down your score further before ITA like change in age. BTW what are your IELTS scores? If there are the best they could be then you can't do anything about them, but if they have a scope to improve, definitely try getting it improved.well. are there any chances of the score to come down to say .. 438 or 435? My life is almost at a standstill.. asking to get an idea of what i should kind of expect from all this !
Thanks a lot. Actually, it's an immigration consultant handling my file. He seems quite slow, got my ITA last yr December, submitted my file this month and observed some mistakes after submission. Told him to withdraw, he said he did but hasn't got any withdrawal notification. Thanks, will holla at him.Hello there, I don't understand what you mean by "sent for a withdrawal". If you application is still in submitted stage, you could just click the withdraw and confirm it in your onekey account. You will get the confirmation of withdrawal within a minute and your processing fee will be refunded as well. Remember, refund only if its under submitted stage. If it has moved to "Assessment" stage, you won't be refunded!
Congratulations for that. You should be receiving it soon and it is wise to move in summer as it is kind of freezing right now and I'm totally iced up as we speak. Thanks! I submitted my passport (more accurately, copy of passport, as US citizens are required to submit photocopy of picture page of passport instead of the actual passport) and other requested docs on Wednesday the 14th. So waiting for COPR now, although not in a hurry as I won't be ready to move into May anyway.
How's life in Montreal? I would like to visit some time
Correct. All electronic, no paper documents need to be sent.posting it here since this is a very active thread - might be a stupid question ,the OINP human capital stream application in response to NOI is completely online right? no physical copies of any documents have to be sent?
Here in New York we are expecting our third snowstorm in 3 weeks Wednesday, and it's the worst kind, where the temperature is around freezing point, which makes the snow wet and slushy or icy, combined with strong winds. When there is precipitation, I want it either to be 3+ degree above 0 or more than 3 below 0. If it's more than 3 below 0, the snow stays dry. However, most other days for the past month have been much nicer, with temperatures warm enough to melt the snow within a few days, although the winds have often been really annoying.Congratulations for that. You should be receiving it soon and it is wise to move in summer as it is kind of freezing right now and I'm totally iced up as we speak.
Life in Montreal has been good so far but this whole landscape of CSQ and paper based federal application is giving me nightmare. Life would have been lot easier if I was in Ontario or BC. Also, I don't know French yet which kind of makes me odd one out but I'll survive (hopefully).
Please do visit when you're here.
Congratulations girl!! Canada here we come. Summer is around the conner, so get readyRay of Hope thread - my second home, where I learned and grew up with people who have the same dream as mine.
Having said that, it is just right to post the good news to all of you here.
After exactly 6 months, 07-Mar-2018 at 9:33 ET, I received the golden email. My husband @xibalban already posted our appreciation to all who have helped us realise our Canadian dream. But I want to personally I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Rest assured I will never leave this great online community.
My timeline:
PNP-O, SGVO
01-Aug-17 Nomination (OINP timeline in my signature)
02-Aug-17 ITA
07-Sep-17 AOR
04-Oct-17 IP1/ADR (Travel History)
10-Oct-17 NA2/MEP (after uploading ADR)
07-Nov-17 File transfer to SGVO
13-Dec-17 Phone interview (child custody)
20-Dec-17 IP2 (added spouse on the same day)
07-Mar-18 PPR
I got married to @xibalban, whom I met in this forum. I never thought the delay was because of marrying him but BGC had really taken a longer time or SGVO is just too slow.
Timeline of adding him to my application:
01-Dec-17 marriage
13-Dec-17 inform CIC of the marriage
20-Dec-17 sent spouse documents to SGVO via email, spouse name and UCI added to CIC account
13-Jan-17 request to upload spouse documents to CIC account
Since IP2 on 20-Dec, Security has been “Not Started” from the two GCMS notes that we requested. I was under the impression that I am in SS because of my extensive overseas travels and work experience in Saudi Arabia, then marrying an Indian (interfaith marriage). But God is so good, we got our PPR!
To my fellow Canadian dreamers, never stop believing. Where there is a will, there will always be a way. It may be a bumpy road but we will get there. Not soon for most of us, but we will, later.
Keep the hope alive!
Love lots,
Christy
