Hello everyone,
We are having a tricky situation regarding spouse work experience.
We intend on submitting our EOI for the upcoming draw under CEC.
My spouse began working last February in Canada, and has Canadian work experience (12 months inclusive of a one month of vacation outside Canada)
So, the actual experience will be between 11 to 12 months.
However, I found that the application form system will take the begin and end "months" (not dates) and calculate experience as 1 year even though the actual experience is less than a year.
Without claiming the spouse work experience points, we hope to be above the cutoff score.
In this situation, is it mandatory to put my spouse's in the spouse's work history section, even if we do not intend to claim the spouse work experience points ?
Or, should I write a letter of explanation stating that I do not wish to claim the points ?
The reason is because, if the CIC officer checks and finds that my spouse hasn't satisfied the one year duration, we do not want to risk the possibility of a information misinterpretation.
Could anyone please advise ?
Vacations are part of the job aren’t they? I have 20 working days of vacation every year for the past 9 years. My experience is 9 years plus. I won’t remove the months spent on vacation and say it’s not part of the experience. Or what do the seniors think? IMO, just go ahead and input the 12 months. Annual leave is part of the job

Hi Friends,
Newbie here.

My IELTS score (Attempted on Feb1st is L8,R8.5,W7.5,S7.5) and CRS is 423.

Based on the comments on this thread, it is unlikely that 423 CRS will be sufficient for at least next several draws.

Question: While no one can predict future, Do you guys gut-feel that I have reasons to be hopeful with CRS of 423? I know that last year it came down to 415 but do you think this may happen again?

What would you suggest should be plan B if 423 is a non starter.

Thanks in advance for your views/suggestions.

No need to be apprehensive.....the cut off might actually reach your score but nearer to the end of the year but thats my guess....there is always the PNP option.....you may see the trend at the time and sieze the opportunity if you recieve NOI from any of the provinces....

Hey, when do you think 437 can get a look-in? Bearing in mind, with supposed tomorrow's draw likely to have 440 or 441 CRS-score cut-off .

I am no star member but keeping in mind all the predictions made on this thread by more knowledgeable members such as abhishek, it seems you might have to wait till april-may....again cant be sure but it seems that way as of now....

Okay, thanks.

I just wanted to enquire do we need to submit transcripts post ITA ? As I already have the WES credential evaluation
You have to submit your degree certificate post ITA, transcripts are not required. But submit your ECA also along with your degree, as the case officer expects it sometimes.

What if they draw only 2750 this time? Cut off 443-444?
