Hi All,

Have been a quiet member of the ROH threads since October. Many thanks to @AlliBatista and @abhishek_89 for your insights, predictions and just the optimism you guys give us.

My score is 435, and only recently i found that IQAS recognises SCDL degrees. I had done my PGDHRM from SCDL and if I get that assessed, my EE profile score would go up to 469. Planning to have my ECA redone by IQAS to improve my score. Am the primary applicant for our EE profile.

Have few questions about the ECA and how to update it:

1.) Me and my husband had our WES ECAs done in 2015. However am planning to get it done with IQAS now, should my husband also have his ECA done again with IQAS?

2.) Our ECA expirese this year, should we have a valid ECA at the time of ITA and until we complete the entire PR process. If so, can my husband have his ECA re-issued my WES itself?

3.) Is it alright if my ECA is from IQAS and husband's ECA is from WES?

Finally, when I rechecked my submitted EE profile, I didnt find any space in the educational section to enter the ECA report reference number. However I believe we enter it while we create our profile. How can I update this ECA reference number after I get my IQAS report...? Where do i need to do this update?

Please help. And apologies for the lengthy confusing questions.

Thanks in anticipation.

Preethi :)

Friends don't lose hope, We may have a draw next week which will surely put the CRS cutoff below 440! Last year twice we had 3 weeks gap draws which were followed by a consecutive draw.

After July 12 draw we had 3 weeks gap draw on August 2 and immediately following week we had a draw on 9 August. Similarly after October 18 draw we had regular draw on November 8 (November 1st draws were only for pnp and fstp) and next draw was on the following week, November 15.

Hope these stats will cheer up few of my fellow Ray of Hopians! :):)

Agreed!
But I think we can't count the consecutive draw after the special PNP draw on Nov 1st 2017. Doesn't make sense because the ITAs were lower.

Also, to meet this year's requirement, on an average CIC should have 2.5 draws a month. But again, it's CIC guys, they are mysterious and secretive.

We can only wait and see what happens.

I only wish if CIC could shed some light on their plan for this year. Just giving some numbers won't help.

I feel we're just blindly jumping into the pool without definite insights! :(

@abhishek_89 Assuming CIC continues bi-weekly draws at 2750 invites per draw; is it possible the score will still come down to ~435 in the next 1 or 2 months?

Yes, it could come to as low as 433 based on the past data, but cannot guarantee.

Hey what would be cut off if we have draw next week with 2750

If draw happens next week (Jan 17) with 2750 ITAs, the CRS cut off would be in the higher 430s, definitely below 440.

Hello friends,
I have a question about proof-of-fund. We are a family of three and according to the new requirement we need to document we have ca. CAD19k+ at our disposal.

I do not have the amount already. But, I have some in my pension fund and am saving some in my current bank account which will add up to 19k CAD in April. However, I have already created EE profile stating that I have the required fund (when I actually do not have). I expect to get an ITA in April or onwards when my score reaches 441 (and my savings will be around 19k+ then)

Since IRCC asks for the bank statement for past six months during visa processing, can someone with the understanding comment whether my case would be considered as "misrepresentation" or not?

Alternatively, I am thinking of deleting the current profile and creating one when I have CRS 441 and 19k+ in April.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Exactly my thoughts so CIC has two ways to manage it either draw size to increase or increased number of draws per year 2750 - 36 draws same calculation as above however increased PR target and also more provinces are aligning PNP streams to express entry which means more ITA also another possibility is increased draw size between 3500 to 3750 if they want to reduce work in office as I would do  I will suggest increased draw size rather than increased draws

The only downside is if they had crossed the target for 2017 and the additional ones go into 2018 or something like that. Apart from that everything says either 1 of the following would happen:
1) More ITAs issued per draw
OR
2) More 1-week gap draws

1) Not required.
2) WES ECA is valid for 5 years. Assuming you got it done in 2015, it should be valid till 2020.
3) Yes

You have to update your profile with the new reference number once you get the report from IQAS.

I missed at 445. Is there a chance in next round?

Yes, very high chance of getting ITA, if CIC issues 2750 ITAs and the draw happens on or before Jan 24th.

Plesse I really need a detailed information and explaination about the cut of scores.
How to I get high score? I intend creating my EE profile this weekend.
