The only downside is if they had crossed the target for 2017 and the additional ones go into 2018 or something like that. Apart from that everything says either 1 of the following would happen:
1) More ITAs issued per draw
OR
2) More 1-week gap draws
Yes but I find it very unlikely that they sent ITA of 2018 in 2017 and then same would happen
If draw happens next week (Jan 17) with 2750 ITAs, the CRS cut off would be in the higher 430s, definitely below 440.
Thank you

Exactly, we had a CRS cut off of 446 or more only 4 times (in regular draws) in the last 10 months (from March to December) and they say this draw is a record of sorts! :)
Hi they say that for any new year 1st draw this is the lowest crs I know it's difficult to understand

I might come across and seem completely naive by asking this question.. but hey! This is called “ray of hope” right.. so, @abhiskek_89 when will the folks like me see a 423?

Hello friends,
I have a question about proof-of-fund. We are a family of three and according to the new requirement we need to document we have ca. CAD19k+ at our disposal.

I do not have the amount already. But, I have some in my pension fund and am saving some in my current bank account which will add up to 19k CAD in April. However, I have already created EE profile stating that I have the required fund (when I actually do not have). I expect to get an ITA in April or onwards when my score reaches 441 (and my savings will be around 19k+ then)

Since IRCC asks for the bank statement for past six months during visa processing, can someone with the understanding comment whether my case would be considered as "misrepresentation" or not?

Alternatively, I am thinking of deleting the current profile and creating one when I have CRS 441 and 19k+ in April.

Thanks a lot in advance.

No need to delete your profile. You can have the proof of funds gifted to you even a day before you submit your application.

It is not misrepresentation. Post ITA you are merely required to prove that you do have the funds.

The idea behind asking for 6 months statements is that the funds should not be loaned. If you have been saving up etc. It is not a problem.

Definitely no misrepresentation.

1) Not required.
2) WES ECA is valid for 5 years. Assuming you got it done in 2015, it should be valid till 2020.
3) Yes

You have to update your profile with the new reference number once you get the report from IQAS.

Where will be able to update this ECA reference number please? Unable to find the place where I should be able to do it...

Great. Thanks for the explanation. I will try to make the POF as clean as possible, meaning only relying on my savings and not getting any gift so as to avoid unnecessary attention from the visa officers.

Yeah but no surprise there. The cut offs reduced drastically in 2017, so there could not be many folks with higher scores in the pool which was not the case in 2015 or 2016!

Plesse I really need a detailed information and explaination about the cut of scores.
How to I get high score? I intend creating my EE profile this weekend.

Score high in IELTS is the best and fastest option to get a high CRS score!

If CIC never increases the number of ITAs (currently @ 2750) issued OR they never have less than 2 week gap draws, then the answer is never as we have seen the pool easily gets filled with those @ CRS 430+ in 2 weeks (observed from Aug onwards).
If they increase the number of ITAs issued OR they have 1 week gap draws, then the answer is Yes possible and when would be dependant on when they start doing that.

Somebody who has updated profile recently please help out on this question.

You inspired me to look at PNP stuff. Here's what I could gather quickly. Anyone is welcome to correct or provide more current information.

Post script - after carefully spacing out all the data into columns, it collapsed them. Columns are for EE, other PNP, Total EE + other, and year of data. Underneath is where I got the data from.

Total accounted for 36750

How many of the these come through Express entry? I have noticed approx 250 people per draw with 600+ score. So that would be approx 3000 folks in total. 3000 doesn't sound very encouraging when we have approx 15000 people in 401-430 - assuming people over 430 are likely to wait for direct draw that a nomination.

I am not very sure about the number of PNP nominations which would come under the Express Entry system but an approximation based on averages gives me around 10,000 ITAs for PNP folks through the Express Entry in 2017.
