Wait what? Where does it say 1 month validity? I have my current job reference letter from June!

I can't imagine that could be expected for most people. Ours was almost older than that just because we requested it over a month before our FBI PCCs were to come back because we knew some people had issues getting employers to write them. Instead it took just a day (we asked for a new copy days before submitting our app because of a minor error though). It would be silly to expect it to be re-written just a few weeks later, and I saw no evidence on CIC's site that it had a tight window like that.

Yes I cross checked on the CIC checklist as well. It doesn't say anywhere about validity. I am submitting my payslips too anyway, so I think that should leave no doubt that I am still employed at the firm.

Can we use 2 different ECAs from different evaluating bodies [(1) IQAS (2) BCIT] of 2 different qualifications for 2 or more degrees catergory?

Me too, I would like to know if I can use 2 different ECAs. I am not satisfied with ECA from WES as instead of Masters they gave me Bachelor

In your case you can simply apply for another one through any other agency and use the one which fits your requirement. In my case, I have a Diploma from BTEC level 3 for which I am applying for ECA through BCIT (ICES). In addition to this I already have an ECA for my bachelors degree from IQAS.

I have read some threads in different forums and they state that BTEC Level 3 is equivalent to post secondary diploma or 2 years diploma.

Yes, pay slips will help. I had submitted my reference letter that was more than a month old.

I read in some threads that the reference letter for current employer should be no more than 6 months old, and for previous employers, it does not matter when the letter was issued as long as it is after termination of employment. I haven't read anything official.

I declined my last ITA (deadline was September 27). Thankfully I got ITA this time. But funny thing is I am STILL not ready to apply. STILL waiting on the FBI PCC. Right now it will take 14 weeks for an FBI PCC it seems. So here's to hoping I dont have to decline AGAIN.
same here.. as you would know (replied on your post on 73rd draw)...fbi pcc is taken a lot of time, easily around 14-16 weeks.... i was just 5 days beyond 6 months .... Awe!!

Current job reference letter has a 1 month validity only
Source of this info please
Logically it didn't seem right to me
Cause even if it's 6 months old you can still prove you are working in the same organisation by the payslips or salary credits
Every organisation has their own norms. so I think cic will consider older ref too if it covers the number of years of experience we are claiming for coz currently working is not a pre requisite ...experience of minimum one year or what we claim is important
I'm not sure please correct me if I'm wrong

Hi @Abishek_89 ,
Any clue, when they r going to start rolling out next year's ITAs? How many more pending fr tis year.
I'am @431..

I am assuming around 16K - 18K ITA's remaining till Dec 2017.
The PR targets for next year would be revealed around October end or November beginning.
