Thank you. I do think there are many indications that OINP should reopen later this year. Ontario had planned all along to pause and reopen the streams to allow people to apply throughout the year, rather than letting all available spots get taken by May which happened in 2016. There were also numerous system issues in July, so they probably needed to reduce the load on their servers and perform system maintenance/upgrades (which they have a few times since July 25). As of August 8, there were still 1994 nominations available for the year, so hopefully they still need more HCP applications to fill the quota. But there were also many indications that I should have gotten at least one of these 2 jobs that I came close to getting, so I am feeling rather down. Unfortunately it was only in that last week of June that Ontario issued NOIs to ICT applicants with scores below 400, which was probably responsible for the surge in applications. It's anyone's guess when/whether they will do that again, especially since they seem to be more focused on attracting agricultural and construction workers these days.
Eagerly waiting for ONIP to accept applications for HCP

today is my birthday and kind of not very happy birthday I will lose 5 points, i was sitting on 431 now it would be 426 :(
Happy Birthday! I lost 5 points last weekend(426 to 421), It was still a very happy birthday.I didn't bothered much as its not in my control and i cant do anything about it even if i worry 24x7 my CRS wont change. So why think about it.

The reason you should be happy is that its your birthday and people around you wont like you to be sad.specially spouse, parents, kids The reason you should be happy is that you are in pool ,because you are meant to go to Canada , 431 has similar chance as 426.
So chill ,go out and enjoy. VIRGO(This alone should be the reason though)

Also, be glad you guys are still in the 420s and only lost 5 points. Those of us who are in our 40s lose 11 points per birthday.

Hey everyone, need to know something. What documents are required to be submitted to prove that the principal applicant/spouse's sibling is in Canada? That is after receiving an ITA and while submitting the eAPR...I have not received an ITA but hopeful to receive in the coming months...and my spouse's brother would be landing in Canada by November probably...

Happy Birthday :)....
one good way to look at this birthday is that you are going to spend couple of weeks more here on ray of hope (than with 5 points more )and know some wonderful ppl just like @PixelDust and make some friends :)..

@KingKurly what materials did you use for learning French? I am slowly learning French with duolingo on my commutes. After this bad time I am in at work, I need to study French more seriously.

I am only at 410 CRS and will drop to 399 on my birthday in February (my major weakness is my age - I am maxed out on IELTS, etc). I would like at least to get one more point to stay at 400+ so I can get NOI more easily from Ontario if my current one expires before the HCP stream reopens. I had my documents ready to submit on July 25, 1 day too late, and have been waiting every day since then for OINP to reopen. I am feeling rather upset because I also finally got rejected for the job I had been waiting on for a few months. This is my second rejection for a job that matched my skillset and for which I have gone through a few rounds of interviews. It has been difficult enough for me even to get interviews at all.
Hey trumprefugee, i didn't use any app, although i did have a look at duolingo. I took classes in Alliance Francaise until A2 Beginners. Using app or online videos from youtube can help. However, in order to get at least CLB 7 across all module, self study won't be enough. You need to grasp grammar as well. Also regular study, at least couple of hours a day can intensify your learning of the language. I didn't have much time and neither I was motivated enough. But if you see French is your only way, I would highly recommend you to go for it.

As you have plenty of time before you loose 11 more points, I highly believe OINP will re-open by then. You already have accumulated plenty of documents for it, so once it reopens you can get the job done in no time! I have been following your posts and yes it is frustrating, but i am fairly sure you will make it before you will lose few more points. CRS score distribution is unfair to mature candidates no doubt, even I lost 11 points by now and will loose 5 more in mid December. Hence i am keeping my eyes on OINP too. All the best :)

Thank you so much Manoj... I believe the EB bill/phone bill/bank statement should reflect the Canadian address? I guess if that's the case, then I am at least 6-8 months away to claim those 15 points :-( will lose 5 points in December as I woulld get older by then too :-(
