Guys, has anyone ever considered the fact that targets are not limits? In fact everyone loves to surpass their target. We all do in our work places and businesses, so what makes people think IRCC don't want to do the same?

In my book a target is nothing more than a minimum, Ray of Hope says they will pass it by far.

I think the number of ITAs are a wrong indicator of how many draws will be happening for the rest of the year.

This is the link for the target of new permanent residents in 2017 under individual categories. They have a target of welcoming 74,000 individuals this year under the categories which concern us. This is the official data on the CIC website, and as more than 25-30% of the ITAs are not converted in PRs. I believe this is no need to publish or point out that only 77,000 ITAs are to be issued this year.

This is number of PRs to be issued this year under the FSW, PNP, CEC categories not the number of ITAs.

Every country has their own way of doing things.

Those of us who have issues with Canada's immigration process have already applied to Australia

Australia has very limited invites per year. Its really hard to get in there.

Avg profile should be

5 yrs of Work Ex
7 in all mods of IELTS
25-32 Age

For me the worst part of all this waiting is the fact that there were three draws in recent months where I would have gotten an ITA, but because I made some stupid mistakes I didn't enter the pool soon enough. OINP is looking more and more appealing now. I'll try to hang in there a little while longer, but things aren't looking too good; those of us in the low 400s desperately need to see consecutive weekly draws if we're to stand a chance.

There is nowhere on the page that says 71700 ITA
I guess the target is 71700 PR, so ITA is obviously more than that.
I am a newbie here and a silent follower of all threads.This is just my guess. Please correct me If I am wrong.

I read somewhere in this forum quotas are filled until september/october and after that they already start seding ITAs for the next year quota. Don't know how much of that is true, but if true, they need a lot more than 3k ITAs per month to fill it.
