This is how Australia Skills select report draws in advance..CIC can pick a clue..

Invitation rounds will be held twice a month. The maximum numbers of invitations to be issued in the June 2017 invitation rounds are as follows:

12 July 2017
Visa subclass Maximum number
Skilled - Independent (subclass 189) 1000
Skilled - Regional Provisional (subclass 489) 200

26 July 2017
Visa subclass Maximum number
Skilled - Independent (subclass 189) 1000
Skilled - Regional Provisional (subclass 489) 200

I think in june most ppl wete waiting to see what happened after the change and not a lot of ppl applied. Thise who applied and had a straightforward case had their approved very quickly. Looks like a lot more ppl are applying now and they probably have a backlog. Dont worry, you'll get it soon. Maybe not as soon as you had hoped. As long as it is being assessed, you will get nominated unless there are issues in the application(which i think is very rare for oinp) since they contact you if tjey have any questions or doubts unlike ircc.

So you're saying all the ITA's issued until now have a 100% conversion rate into PR?

the rejected numbers will be added in next year's quota. That is what logic says. Cic had given more itas in first half so that they can have sufficient time to finish process and issue pr to complete 2017 target. Though I am also waiting for ita and draw. but I am realistic. So to put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying, there would be one draw per month.

In 2017 so far, 47,876 ITAs were issued through Express Entry.

If this is true, there are approximately 23,824 ITAs left to be issued.
Which means -- they can get this through 3,970 ITAs per month.

very dissappointing that no draw today. i really fear that their quota for this year is near completion. it is more evident from fact that even after the gap of almost 1 month they sent invitation to 3400 ppl and now no draw after 15 days gap. very dissappointing

Every country has their own way of doing things.

Those of us who have issues with Canada's immigration process have already applied to Australia

Looks like some people come here with hope with their future dreams on the line and some come here just to prove a point and put others down. Anyways guys, keep the dream alive and do whatever you can to raise your crs. I hope all of us, the optimists and pessimists can make it to canada sooner rather than later. A few months ago, i had no hope. This thread gave me hope. OINP changed the game for me. There's always a way. Find yours. Be strong and ignore the trolls. Don't reply to their comments. Thats what keeps them going.

There is nowhere on the page that says 71700 ITA
I guess the target is 71700 PR, so ITA is obviously more than that.
I am a newbie here and a silent follower of all threads.This is just my guess. Please correct me If I am wrong.

So all those who are saying that 2017 quota is almost full and there will be monthly draws, here is my opinion:

CIC is manned by people who are not kids. Few points:

1)They will not make huge changes in ITAs issued between first half of year and second half. They will ideally want to keep things relatively stable and make small changes to things.
2) The current ITAs being sent out are not covering just 2017 quota. These people will land in year 2018. So current invitations are actually for year 2018 quota.
3) The only reason CIC might go to a monthly draw is to keep a balance between PNP invitees and EE federal invitees cuz right now, PNP plays second fiddle and provinces are not able to effectively entice people to go through their process and land in their province. The conclusion here might be that spending money and time on Provincial nomination process might become more common.
