I'm patiently waiting for my ECA & experience letter ,both expected over next week..
I should be @ 423 or 448 (I've two experiences ,so based on CIC accepting both)

I am very much sure that you will be off to Canada ahead than me, lol. So now i have to ask you to be around after your ITA and even the CoPR. I will admit though, this community has become a habit for me without which day feels empty along with the texts with a girl from Poland i used to work in Ireland together lol. We have managed to create a vibergroup for candidates from my country, although just 3 of us atm, but we communicate almost everyday and this forum has not just provided me with vital information, saved me tons of potential cash, hassle and stress of dealing with consultants but best of all it is now giving me friends and i will organize a meetup for my vibergroup friends too. One of em has also promised for a party once he gets his CoPR. Now how good is that hehehe.

It is not necessary to have bank accounts even though he is working for an year. It is solely his decision to open a bank account or not. As long he is getting the payment and providing proof for it, he is absolutely fine.

rarely I have a smile on me going through this forum,mostly because like many I'm also tensed about the chances...and I have a big smile reading ur reply......
it's so nice that you are building a Viber group and all...best wishes to u and friends...
and about me landing first,I have hurdles too...like the experience letter is yet to be with me and I don't know how my ex employer is writing it ...hope they're doing as per my request .. .and funds...im hoping to do with a gift from dad or brother once I receive the ITA...but I'll not be able to show a healthy 6months account statement...and I had worked in Qatar on business Visa and getting a PCC or a letter of refusal is difficult as Qatar as state policy do not issue PCC to non residence permit holders......so it is not as easy as it looks with CRS ..
however we all should keep coming back to the forum and stay connected...I'm not much of an initiator so eagerly waiting if someone starts a thread 'happily immigrated to Canada....' I would like to be a part of that thread and that could be a platform for sharing job opportunities,other help,finding housing and also once in a blue moon meet ups /road trips etc...

Just two kinds of posts that bothers me a lot here; My score is 450+, 460+, 470+ and so on, what are my chances and the ones with couple of minutes after draw, guys i have not received my ITA when will it come. Its okey if someone is genuinely uninformed but god i hate those who like to show off. Anyway you are a very upbeat person yourself, i notice you acknowledge every good post. So i wouldn't think of you that way. Let's hope you and I and all others who have been in the queue for good while will be given a chance very soon Oh! n happy friday

Could not agree more with you buddy ^^^ they know full well if they are 435 and above at the moment they are practically guaranteed an ITA! They just come here to show off!!

Quite encouraging! I want to also encourage you to practice some more and give IELTS another shot. There are some people on this very thread with excellent scores maybe they can give you some tips as to how to nail it next time round!

I will definitely appreciate all the support and materials.The most annoying part. My 2016 score was L6,R8.5,S&W7 and d latest L7.5, R6.5, S&W7

I'm sure you know about the 'Cambridge series' online practice tests available....
if you haven't come across already try this

there are about 60practice tests for all 4 modules....practice all of them...(its boring after first few trials......esp listening to the instructions each time you do the listening practice test...
for speaking practice talking on each topic and record it using the microphone on ur mobile headset...listen urself after each and try to improve on duration and grammatical correctness and style...
it will help u when a random topic is thrown at the real test...

writing needs practice...for speed and to write in organized fashion...
task 2 carries 6points out of 9 ...so make sure u write in a structured way...
have an introduction paragraph/then the pros and cons or for and against arguments on the topic / conclude with your opinion after considering all the pros and cons...
it is impossible to write all 60 practice topics...however try to write down the key points you will fill the essay with ...so it will help you quickly fill u with ideas at the real test...no topic will surprise u much and you will be able to think and write in an organized manner...
