1st of all my husband field is aviation!he is currently working in etihad airways as security controller, want to know if he has good scope in this field??
Also would love to know abt the cost of living!my friend says its cheaper than toronto like rents and grocery etc also even public schools have high ranking and are great!wages are high taxes are low as compared to toronto.also u can buy a big house for less amount!!i would like to know if all that is true??
Edmonton does not have good scope for aviation jobs. Having said that, the scope is poor in Toronto and Vancouver as well. The best option for your husband is to network within the airline industry and try and secure internal transfer. Applying fresh for a job with and airline or airport handling agency is a tough call. I know this becuase I have 20 years experience in aviation and I am currently in Toronto on a visit visa trying to explore options.
The nature of job here is also different than it is in the gulf. However as long as you come with an open mind and are willing to learn, develop and change as required, you should not have any problems at all.

no idea where did you got info that dropped by 30-40% .. prices in Toronto and GTA way to high for new buyers..
Vancover and Toronto/GTA are highest in Canada..

Average price in the GTA rose to $916,567 — up from $688,011 in March 2016

Canadian home prices could fall 20-40% over next five years, warns Capital Economics

You're absolutely right. It is the highest. Like I mentioned before it could burst anytime. They've made mortgage rules more strict. No houses are being sold. I see open houses everywhere and what does those imply?? Again , like I mentioned before it has started dropping. That doesn't mean that It has dropped 30-40 % already. I read few articles by economists and real estate agents. My buddy is a broker. He has told me to wait since he thinks its going to drop more. I don't need any info from anywhere because I know so. Like you said, no one can afford a house in Toronto. In order to own a 1 m house one has to get that money approved as mortage and he/she have to be making atleast $200,000 (Banks grant you mortage 5 times your salary approx.) which is some money. Not all these people who own 1 m worth homes make that. lol
And I thought we are here to have hopes. I dint want to freak everyone here saying , hey you stay where you are . You cant afford a house here..lol NOOO .. That's not me.. have hopes my friend.. Hope that it goes down so that we all can afford a decent house. :) :)

For everyone who's worried about the next draw, don't be. If the score goes up, it will surely go down after that. I've done some calculations based on the previous draws and predict that the next cutoff will be 423 (+/- 2) if its tomorrow. This is based on statistics and not my personal opinion. You know what they say: men lie, women lie, but numbers don't.

Looking at the previous draws, you can see that the average change in score is between each draw has been 7-9 CRS points. The only exception to this rule was the May 26 draw where CIC had a cutoff of 775 and 119.

The longest time CIC has gone without a draw this year was between march 1st and march 24th, and the score went up by seven points. Now considering that its been almost four weeks since the last draw on may 31st, and that some people benefited from the june 6 changes, we can predict that the score will go up by about 10 points (+/-2). This is assuming that there will be at least 3,500 ITAs issued, which will likely be the case since CIC has a quota to meet and about 40% of people decline ITAs and there are old profiles that get expired between each round etc.

Here's a simple spreadsheet that explains all of this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bSRZaKYum52hAQr8CuYh_h4ej2kqznl5zxAEflZTalw/edit#gid=0

Good luck to everyone and I hope you get your ITA soon!
That's good work mate!! You have explained it so well. I hope all the pessimists would spare some time to read your post to bring some sense. Even after the last draw i doubt there are close to 60 K applicants in the pool. More than 50% won't make it immediately, for example, candidates below 350, unless they get their IELTS updated. Now considering ITA declines and rejections, even if IRCIC invites and grants all 60 k applicants that number will still be like needle in the hey stack. Canada (at least liberals) wants way too many people than mere 60k. We can brace our-self for another record break pretty soon, i.e,CRS cut-off <400 :)

So, it is all about increasing the Canadian population, huh. It makes a lot more sense now.
Younger people preferred, since they have the strength and necessary libido for reproduction.
Better language skills required, for better communication to seduce the opposite sex up easily.

Now, finally, I get it!!

My friend lives in edmongon and she really likes it there.i wanted to ask u is alberta better than ontatio??it should include the monthly cost education family raising and wages etc
My sister and bro-in-law first moved to Calgary in 2012. She give birth to a baby handsome boy there too. They came back home after nearly a year, stayed home for almost year n half and couple of years ago they went to Ontario because my bro-in-law got in to Uni of Waterloo for his PhD. My sister says it was better in Alberta than in Ontario. Govt support and benefits are better than Ontario cos Alberta is a wealthy province compared to Ontario. Remember though, Alberta is heavily reliant on Oil price whereas Ont is not. In the end, it all comes down to what you prefer! I am a cityboy all my life, i would always prefer big city with dynamism and quiet places of Alberta only for city-breaks ;)

As long as the draw happens, any topic to kill time goes by. 400 pages is a lot to only talk about a draw and hopes. We need other vices to keep us occupied!!

Got two kids but both will be in secondary school.
I've honestly not looked at Calgary at all. I looked at Ontario and BC but decided that while BC looks amazing it's too far from Europe where most of my family live around and where I love travelling to.

Kindergarten fee's at $3000? That sounds insanely expensive. I'm glad to be over that.
kindergarten fee's is around 1200 per month 3000 per month could be the university expense,,
