My friend lives in edmongon and she really likes it there.i wanted to ask u is alberta better than ontatio??it should include the monthly cost education family raising and wages etcWe all have the same worry! It depends a lot where are you going to to live in Canada, which province! I can tell you from my perspective (accountat here, experienced, 10 years in the job, currently working as Chief Accountant). We are planning to settle in Calgary, Alberta, I have been researching about cost of living a lot, since I have 2 small kids and need them to enroll in kindergarten also ehich is huge amount in monthly budget. Also we like to eat out a lot, go have fun in the city a lot, which means spending money on coffee, cakes, small bites, baloons for kids and etc, also we like to travel a lot and stay in nice hotels. For nice living, when I say nice, I mean comfortable, we need (household of 4, where kindergarten fees are around 3000 CAD monthly) including rent for house with backyard and leasing for 2 cars, with utilities, gas and shopping also, 9000 CAD monthly. This is 2 salaries for around 4500 nett a month, which is likely to find, a bit less in the begging, then we will need to be careful about spending but after year or 2 we can go back to our life style. So if you don't have expense for kindergarten and go with a smaller house or condo, you can easiy live with only 1 salary of around 4000 CAD monthly. Hope this helps!
Hi my friend lives in edmonton and reall likes it there!!!could u please share ur experience with us!!!my frnd tells me tht wages are high and taxes are low also buyin a house is cheaper than ontario!!eduction is really good even the public scblhools have very high rating!!its good for rasing family!!!!is tht all true??I was a silent follower of this thread until now. Public education is free in Alberta. I live in Calgary downtown. There are a lot of public schools with a very high rating. A little difficult to get into but if you are in the community you will have a priority. Refer this link.

Really why did it come down by 30% to 40%Our expense is aeound $3000-$3500 including everything. That is for 2 of us. GTA is like the most developed area in ontario. You should be expecting high prices . But if you're ready to commute from halton region or further west you could get nice bunglows with huge lots for decent price. How do I compare, what would yoy think about getying a house in new york city and surrounding region?? Never been to NY but just saying. I've herd real estate is cheap in US but you have to consider min wage and foreign exchange. Houses in GTA were not this expensive. Thingd have changed a lot in last 5 years and real estate is going to explode anytime.. ut has already started. Toronto real estate sales and price went down by 30-40% in the first quarter of this year.

how did you know that bro? There is no draw this week... there will be 3 draws in July. That's the reality..
It wasn't me who gave that reply...You mentioned that CIC is very strict on counting days...that's false, when its coming to count work experience they take in consideration the whole month even if you worked 1 day in that month, so there is no rules that you have to decline the ITA
true...hi

@arunroy007, had we not been looking for a volunteer to create a Ray of No Hope thread? I feel, he qualifies. There is no draw this week... there will be 3 draws in July. That's the reality..
I completely agree with you lino. Far too greater risk for misrepresentation. Just because you can create profile by inserting only months for work experience in EE will be held against by a case officer when he/she looks at the documents and its over 20 days short. Problem is with his IELTS, he can't get any higher, he got 24 already. Now whoever may have got PR in similar situation may had the privilege of considerate case officer. Hence may be writing a LoE while submitting work relevant documents will be a good idea i guess.if you are saying about ur CRS going up,points remain same for 1 year & upto 3years (25 points) ...points increase only if experience is 3 years or more (50points)...so u are leaving ambiguity there...if u said 2 years 11 months got counted as 3 yrs and your CRS went up by 25 points it'd have made sense...
--
creating EE profile,it asks only month & year...but the fsw EE eligibility calculator, one is required to complete, gives 9 points for 1yr / 11points for 2-3 years /13 &15 for higher experience.
so,if someone answers 1yr 364 days as 2years and qualifies 67 points, and while cic officials scrutinise the corresponding experience letter and finds it is couple of weeks short,it clearly stands out as a misrepresentation....
&
CIC rules are to decline application only if such misrepresentation materially affects the decision...in ur case, you may have had qualifying score (67)even after discounting the points gained for incomplete year...but here in his case,if he's on 67 he may get punished..increasing ielts is his way out..

no idea where did you got info that dropped by 30-40% .. prices in Toronto and GTA way to high for new buyers..Our expense is aeound $3000-$3500 including everything. That is for 2 of us.
