Wow! Completely missed this! Not that it's of any help to me None of my relatives had any aspirations for Canada

But the good news is if its not additional 15 points and if it is total of 15 points, only ppl in 390's will cross 400 and I don't see a drastic number.

Underneath that, it says:
You can get five points for a valid job offer as part of the adaptability factor. This is separate from the points you can earn for a job offer under the Comprehensive Ranking System.

Is this part of the 67 point qualifying, not the CRS?

No. We can only know after the draw takes place.

It's not just about the money.

The OINP processing time is anywhere between 1 to 6 months and after that you've to factor in the ITA processing time which takes another 3 to 6 months.

And the last reason is what you've already mentioned in your question - more rigorous paperwork, some of which (like bank statements) have to be done again for ITA.

So in a nutshell, you spend more time AND money if you take the OINP route.

True, I missed that part. The documentation, twice, is what upsets most, I guess.

Good point but if you can get one without losing 1500 CAD and get ITA before 2 months (processing time by Ontario) i would use the money to pay my rent instead

And, I'd spend those on women. (Don't tell my girlfriend, shhh )

Hey xibalban, You have a fantastic IELTS score . Why do the CRS is still in 408 for you is what I am wondering?

I don't know about xibalban, but most of us with "fantastic" IELTS score have low CRS because of our age

Well, Canada is no country for Old Men; makes me feel like a sixty year old granny, when I'm just 34. When Old guys like Tom Cruise, Bruce Wills, etc. still seem to remain heartthrobs of young women, Canada feels they're too old and unfit to immigrate .

But, had I not been 34, my IELTS score would have been worse (age, i.e. time, has taught me a lot of English). CRS of 408 seems to draw complacency as it is.

If you are eligible for both, you will be invited under CEC. CEC is simpler documentation, since you don't need PoF.

Does anyone know if age points decrease on the day of your birthday? or will it take a few days? somewhere in the previous posts I read of points deductions a few days later.. If so I can have some ray of hope for tomorrows draw @ 413
