It could just be a one off thing - more than 2k people entering the pool in 9 days - due to improved IELTS scores or those who declined PNP. I still have hope that the scores would fall, and not keep rising, in subsequent draws. Good luck to everyone who's waiting for ITA.

My personal guess is small falls in the near term. Maybe 2 points every 2 weeks. But I will happily be proven wrong if not as many people with scores over 420 enter the pool.

Patience and work to improve my score (unless that mythical time machine gets invented, lol).

it can be due to PNP. The distribution is 5 days old. It is possible that after the PNPs were issued on 1st and 2nd may, the +600 pts might have got populated. We don't have any data about that.

Well, I think we DO have the data. From the pool table we can see that there are about 2,369 people who qualify as of April 28; since the ITAs are issued to 3,796 people, we can deduct that 1,427 people were added to the pool from April 28th to May 4th.

Total ITAs issued today were 3796.. if we calculate the people in pool with crs above 421 they amount to 2369 As (113+1023+318+462+453= 2369. But what about the rest of 1427 ??

Where did they come from??

This pool is so unpredictable guys

If we look on 13th april just 1 day after a draw 108 people come up above 600. And on 28th april 9 days after a draw there are just 113 above 600.

If we look at 421-430 there were 453 people (50 per day)
431-440 there were 462 people (51 per day)
441-450 there were 318 people (35 per day)

And when we look at 451-600 there were 1023 (113 per day).

On 13th april just 1 day after draw 451-600 (354 people on it). I think lots of people decline ITAs on 1st-2nd day.

1 positive thing to note

On 29th march 401-450 (11,726) people
On 7th april 401-450 (9,878) people
On 13th april (9,120)
On 28th april even after 9 days of a recent draw (7,178)

So overall the people in 401-450 range is getting cleared thats a huge positive that indicates that this is just a temporary push up and eventually it will go down.

And we can expect will the score rise or fall by the nature of these ray of hope threads as well

as we saw after march 1 draw the ray of hope thread gone up to 150+ pages then got deleted then another ray of hope thread created which got over 250 pages and the score also gone up on 24th march.

As the last draw 60th ray of hope only got 10 pages in 1 week was a clear sign of score will go down. The last thread piled up 125+ pages was a clear sign that lots of people are awaiting ITA

I have a gut feeling..I could be wrong though.
But with the score coming down till 423 and possibly going further down in the coming 2-3 draws..I think OINP will also send it's PNP invite to the EE pool.

Since they target 400+ CRS score..and as CIC is also announcing cut-off pretty close to 400+, OINP might miss it's applicant and 1500 CAD each applicant if it doesn't declare it's PNP soon..any thoughts?

Hi guys,

what would you recommend - My CRS is 410 based on following credentials:

Age - 26.5
Qualification - Double Bachelors (ECA - WES)
Experience - 6+ years
IETLS - L9, R8, S7 and W-6.5

I believe, I can get 7 in writing as well, which will increase my CRS to 460+ and next available IELTS is on 13 May.

I think IETLS is just USD 300 game - would you recommend appearing again for IETLS or 410 is sufficient for ITA.

Thoughts please.

Looks like we are on same boat, I have given again but my score still stuck at reading-6.5.my assumption is ielts won't increase your writing score so easily if you got stuck at 6.5 in first attempt.

The reason I think there are so many new people above 430 is because Canadian students who completed there 1 year work experience (got extra 35 points). Usually they get 1 year exp around april
