Guys, this is my first message.. My score was 417 and then it dropped just because I passed my birthday and missed the draw as it became 412. The question is, should I retake my Ielts exam or should expect to get ITA on the current Ielts. My current Ielts expires August 28- 2017.(Even if I get the ITA in June-July; it might get expired before my application is complete)

My scores are L- 7.5 , R- 7.5, W- 7.5, S- 8. I feel like even if I give my Ielts again, the score might get dropped. The last Ielts exam I gave was in Austin, USA, so It was a little well organized and easy and went smoothly. It's a shame that after studying and working in USA (UT Austin Alumni), I am here starting all over again with little hope. Overall, I feel Canada is a better option coz atleast they will consider the US education/experience unlike Australia.

Thanks

I don't think you need to retake the IELTS, check out my calculations: imgur.com/a/SatZC

I anticipate the scores will go below 400 in 3-6 weeks based on the current trends.

Thank you for your reply. I will wait for the next 3 weeks to see how the CRS goes.

But for a PNP nomination, you get 600 points. There are only 113 applicants in 600+ till April 28th.

Between 4501-600 there are 1023 applicants.

Am I missing something?

If I understand correctly, they're trying to reward people with actual skillsets rather than people with connections. Most PNP's require at least 400 points to begin with (Is this correct?). So it requires you to stand on your own feet for up to 400 points before the province comes in and helps you. So the people below 400 stay there, and there are a huge number of them. And the ones who are above 400 don't need the PNP's anyway.

But historically also, there HAVE been a lot of people at the 300-400 range. Not surprising. Back in the day, many of these people would get 600 points for a job offer which is no longer the case. Now you can only get 600 points with a PNP which explains the distribution.

Can anybody answer below queries:

1. How many EE profiles (in pool not PNP) has CIC planned to intake this year - 2017?
2. How many EE profiles have been sent ITA by CIC till now?
3. How many more draws (more months) will this year intake will continue?
4. What is the average rejection rate per draw?
5. And finally, if ITA are rejected, are more draws done to compensate the rejection or the count is rolled over to the next year ITA count?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe this will help http://www.cicnews.com/2017/05/may-4-express-entry-draw-crs-cut-off-threshold-423-059137.html

I'm gonna wait for 2 more draws before applying, but you have to realize that 6K number is not fixed. EE pool is very dynamic. hundreds if not thousands (as we have seen in the last draw) of applicants join the pool every week. Plus, the value of immigration to canada is worth spending that extra 1500.

since last 3 draws, number of people above 400 has been declining by 1800 or so every time.
even after such a huge number of people entering last week, actual number of people in the pool decreased by 600 indicating that existing people in the pool increased their scores somehow.

I don't think anyone with over 400 should be worried at all! The pool added only 2397 over the last two weeks and that's less than half of how much they added the previous two weeks.

The pool had to have added 3796 applicants over CRS 423 between last draw and this draw. All those scores were empty after the last draw, but filled to have ITAs given out in this draw.

we don't have account for about 1400 members. these can very well be PNPs. or someone in his 380s improving ielts score. the actual addition in the pool in last 2 weeks were only 3100.

I'm so tensed. Missed clb9 by .5 in writing so at 404 otherwise it would've been 462. IQAS increased their processing time and I still don't have my ECA. So I keep missing Ontario NOIs. I hope the program remains open for a while :(

Somehow I feel pessimistic as the cut off score increased in the last draw. I am sitting at 416, and with spouse's ECA will make it to 424. But wouldnt the CRS score increase after June? After all so many people have their siblings abroad, and with 15 points there, the score should increase atleast by 15 points. Am I wrong?

Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream: Issuance of Notifications of Interest

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will resume issuing Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to applicants who qualify for Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream on a weekly basis.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to create a new profile in the Express Entry (EE) system to make it easier for Ontario to identify their profile during its search of the federal government’s Express Entry pool. Please note that if you create a new EE profile, you must delete your old profile.

this analysis is brilliant. there were actually LESS people entering the pool in last 2 weeks as compared to the 2 weeks between 59th and 60th draw.

Just received an NOI from Ontario. Not sure what to do next, but I'm really excited after being really disappointed yesterday. So guys, be on the lookout for an ontario noi. They are still sending those out.

When did you created your profile ? just want to know if OINP picks recently created profiles..

just got NOI from ontario, NOC 3113, CRS 405, and profile created on May 1st.
i think i will wait for 2-3 draws before applying to ontario.

Now that kind of heightened my spirits :) Hope this is how it works in the coming draws.
