Only fear as some people suggest is, extending the draw period so that scores remain over 430 :(

That is how I think this will play out for the next month or 2 then I believe we will see an influx of students if I remember reading another post correctly.

They did 3 in Jan, 2 feb, 2 march, if we get 3 this month then the people on 425+ have a reason to be optimistic.

I would guess that they have set the CRS "cut off" to a particular number to represent a broad set of min requirements. Then they will wait until a majority of the ITA's being issued are at that minimum score.

If they did 2 back to back draws we would probably be looking sub 420.

Thank you so much for the reply. I didn't see any option for children details in the EE profile. There was only the spouse option but no question asking about children. Do u think I missed something?

Once you get an ITA it asks about dependents. Best of luck! :)

What is it then? Age? With CLB10 age 32 and a degree, you would be 425.
What's your story?

Hello! Here is my breakdown:

Age: 85 (33 years old in 2017)
Level of education: 112 ( single bachelors degree)
First language:128
Spouse level of education: 10
Spouse first language:14
Skills transferability-education :25
Foreign work experience:50

Anyway to increase my crs? I was 429 last year 32 years old. My wife is also 33 years old (1983 born) so can't make her a primary applicant- even though she has masters degree

My IELTS breakdown is as follows: LRWS: 8.5,8.5,7.5,7.5

I think if your wife has more than 3 years work ex and CLB 9 in IELTS, you can make her primary applicant and you will easily have a CRS around 440-450.

Have to looked into retaking IELTS? Provincial nomination this year is low key. Hope they bump it up in the following quarter. I think you will have a better chance if you retake IELTS. Post your points break down, we can see where you can gain points

I have a question about the NOC Code for the Express Entry profile.

I have over 7 years of experience after graduation. Out of that first 5 years were in a different field, compared to last 2 years. The NOC codes are different for my previous and current fields.

In order to get points for experience >3 years, do I need to use the previous NOC code? Or can I use my current NOC, even though I only have 2 years of experience under this?

I don't want to get into an issue if/when I get the ITA and submit the application.

TIA

I am pretty sure you can claim overall work experience of over 7 years, but as for the primary NOC you'll be creating your EE profile with, it's up to you, keeping in mind the EE/PNP requirements that you need a at least 1 year of experience (working with your primary NOC) within the past few years depending on criteria for different pools (such as CEC, FSW etc.). For instance, I am claiming an overall work experience of 7+ years in NOC 4012 (4+ years) and in NOC 4011 (3+ years). NOC 4011 (University professor) is my primary NOC as I have nearly 3 years of experience in that area in the past 5 years.
