We were in Banff, ab. Stunning place.

Cool! I just searched for that place on the internet and it displayed that famous lake photo which apparently is in Banff.
I used to get lots of pictures of that lake when i used to search for like nature/lakes/landscape pictures for my projects.

If you google Banff avenue I saw that everyday for 2 years. I visited Moraine lake a few times. The whole area is tattooed on my heart. I cannot wait to go back.

It's amazing how quickly you acclimatise. I had several Australian friends who started to struggle on +12 deg days.

I found that even in -25 nights I was sleeping with the window open.

Sorry, I have lived here for 7 years and you never get used to the cold. Sure you develop a sense of immunity to it, but you won't go walking out in a T-shirt when it is -30°C outside.
