Hi everyone, I just got my ITA and will be starting my process soon. I need some guidance. Since we have 90 days for the final submission, should we collect the documents, do our PCC and wait for doing the medical by November end (due to the 1 year validity). Also, maybe by that time biometrics will open and things will come be visible from a better angel, minimising the overall time of getting the COPR. What do you guys suggest. Kindly share your thoughts.

Also, on a different note I have multiple NOC and my current work (Freelancing - >40 hours/week). I have most of the documents available. Reference letters from previous employers plus from my current clients to substantiate my claim. Should I still write an LOE mentioning this or skip it altogether. Rest I filed in the "Unaccompanying Spouse" category, should I mention the reasons in the same LOE or a separate one. Kindly, provide some information or direct me to some link where I can read about this.

Thanks,

First of all congratulations. Everyone's Opinion might be different, here is my opinion.

If you have taken a brave decision of " Unaccompanying Spouse" to get an ITA, it is very clear you wish to go to Canada asap.

1) Since the Covid-19 situation is not improving in india,(assuming that's your country) and its actually getting worst day by day, my opinion is that you can't bank on waiting there for longer time. "You should ideally be on the front foot at this point of time".
2) I think you should finish your medicals asap and get your AOR soon. Remember Canada has a Long Que too for processing.
3) If your skilled work experience is for 3 years, then why take the chance to prove the freelance job with the help of current clients etc?
4) When it is your turn to produce your bio metrics, if its unavailable in your city/country, all you have to do is inform IRCC via a web form, they will processes rest of the stuff on your file and keep you on hold only for bio metrics. As soon as you get a chance you can complete you Bio metrics you can do so.

I am very confident if you file for an AOR in October 2020, by May or June 2021 you will have your COPR ready !! Post that you can decide if you wish to move permanently or wish to travel for 1 or 2 months and come back (Based on pandemic and job situation in canada at that point of time)

All the Best !!

Thanks a lot for the concise information and sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate ! Just to let you know, for Point #3, I do not complete 3 years from my employment and later started my own work (which is full-time and I am working with regular clients). The company is registered in India and one of my clients works from Australia so both of these have their own offices and process and I could very easily get the Reference Letters from them. Also I have sufficient proofs like Bank Transactions (direct) and PayPal Invoice Summary to prove that I was earnings. Additionally I work more than 40 hours/week so that is checked-in as well.
That's the reason I am attaching all these as a proof. Plus I have been filing for ITR's and will be sending my tax forms too. Should I clarify this in my LOE ? Kindly reply for this as well dear.

Thanks a ton !

Ok for point 3, seems like you enough proof, however since you do not have 3 years of skilled employed work experience, your only option is to produce whatever you have mentioned above to elaborate on your freelance experience in LOE order to claim points.

Word of caution - how the visa officer accesses your freelance work experience? To be honest no one can predict that. stay positive and produce all the documents possible.
Considering your freelance work exp, and accompanying spouse, its all the more clear, you need to hurry up and start the process asap. As your file is not a straight through processing file.
