Your guess is right on point!... valid job offer... LMIA exempt T13 - federal-provincial agreement..... closed work Permit and so on. A PNP paper application cannot be used on Express Entry but can sure give you a closed work Permit :D... it took up to 4hrs to secure one at the border yesterday but we got it!!
If you want some border stories... I can tell you one... some officers who aren't experienced (not funny)

That's great, but you lost me a little bit. Is that possible to get a work permit by just walk into border security? What's your NOC code again? and what is T13 exemption? I am on a closed workpermit already but asking this question for others if that helps someone.

Imagine it was an someone charged with processing your application and asking you this same question.... you may get so lost like I was yesterday.... officer!!!o_O
Meanwhile... ridding on my wife's profile though... NOC 1212 .... T13 -
Foreign workers nominated by a province or territory.

Lol. You should have already gotten 600 points if you have a provincial nomination isn't it? But I agree, if you can fetch a job offer with a PNP, why not? That would be my safe bet too.

You can flagpole (boating) for CHANGE OF CONDITION on most occasions e.g. visiting to work Permit... studies to PGWP... open to closed work Permit but NOT extensions!! A lot of people do it... it can be stressful but worth it.

Closing a work Permit requires quite a few processes including your employer's support.... and remember to get a valid job for EE, there are specific guidelines.

We applied online but seeing the 96 days wait period, I changed my mind. I told them I will withdraw the application when I finish with them cos they can see all your present applications on the screen.

There are 2 types of PNP... one is EE aligned (online) which can give you 600 points... and the other is provincial support USUALLY WITH A JOB OFFER (paper) cannot be used for EE... you must apply by paper and processing is 15-19 months.... although no ECA or Test of English/French.

Hi Guys,

I'm likely to leave my IT job soon. Is there something I could do now so that it would be easier to submit the employment reference letter if I ever get an ITA.

So, does anyone have on-demand job categories link of various provinces? My current work permit is on 2173 but my title is actually Sr. Manager (more aligned with 0213) which it looks like BC has some interest currently. Would it be okay if I change my EE profile NOC to 0213 so I can get caught by BC filters?
