Ray of Hope - 117th Draw

i read somewhere that the next draw will be a PNP one .. is there any truth to this ? if this happens what should we expect ?

Where did you read ? I hope it is not true. May has 5 weekends and 3 draws possible with 2 weeks gap(1st,15th,29th).
Last year May did have a PNP only draw at the end of month with 3 draws May 9th, 23rd, 30th, followed by a regular draw on Jun 13.

Since May 1st already had a draw , next will be 15th mostly then either of these can happen based on last year.

1. Have a regular draw again on 29th May - score will remain around 450,449
2. Have PNP only draw on 29th and followed by a regular draw on June 5th (3 weeks gap for regular draw), score can go up 455+
3. Have PNP only draw on 29th and followed by a regular draw on June 12th (4 weeks gap for regular draw), score can go up 457+
   
4. Have PNP only draw on 22nd and followed by a regular draw on June 5th (3 weeks gap for regular draw), score can go up 455+

Yeah, CIC had a PNP and FST only draw in May end during 2017 and 2018. 2017 had 4 may draws and 2018 had 3 may draws in total. So there is a possibility of same repeating this year also.

Nothing is official in the case of PNP yet. CIC has their own way of conducting draws. Even if we’re predicting next draw on May 15th draw with 450 cut-off & 3350 ITA’s but nobody knows if we can witness 1 week draw too.

So, anything can happen, nothing is official!

I have an update. Yesterday I reached out to WES through ContactUs asking them to reevaluate. Surprisingly, I got a response from them that they have reviewed and would send updated report in a day. The report arrived an hour back stating that WILP Masters correspondence degree is equivalent to Master's degree. All this happened in less than 24 hours. My score jumped from 450 to 457 now. The unfortunate thing is I am going to lose this 5 points next week as my birthday is coming up and it will reduce to 452. I had submitted my EE profile in March 1st week. I missed the golden ITA.

My mistake was to blindly accept what WES evaluated. I didn't realize this until I saw in another forum that there are people who faced same situation and got it reevaluated from WES.

I hope this is helpful for other people and they don't make such mistakes and lose valuable time.

Yeah, CIC had a PNP and FST only draw in May end during 2017 and 2018. 2017 had 4 may draws and 2018 had 3 may draws in total. So there is a possibility of same repeating this year also.

Why there has to be a seperate PNP draw? All those drawn at scores above 600 are PNP candidates, so I wonder why the need. FST is understandable but PNP!

You mean for singling I imagine. You need a birth certificate of your relative and PR copy if available or CoPR copy signed dated by immigration officer and your relative; finally - any recent bill or copy of the lease on your relative's name. Also, just in case get a copy of the passport too.

I only mentioned that I have come across other people with same degree getting master's, So I would like to request for re-evaluation.

After logging in to WES, click on ContactUs and in the ContacUs form I mentioned that I have come across people with same degree getting Master's as Canadian equivalency, so I would request for a reevaluation.
