chances are there in 2nd draw of April. But if the draw happens on Apr 3rd. 448 has a slight chance but might be through in Apr 17th. Assuming there is two week draws. But If CIC surprises us with b2b draw 448 should sail through.

are there any chances for 448 to get through before April??
You stand a very good chance to receive an ITA in april if there are draws on 3rd and 17th april.
The prediction for next draw is April 3rd, 3350 ITAS, 449-450 cut-off, by many including me. This is true if distribution of candidates between 449-454 is almost same as score went down from 454 to 452 in the previous draw. However, if you are very lucky and candidates are very less on those scores, cut-off can even touch 448.
If things continue like past 2-3 draws, you should, most likely, receive an ITA on 17 april. Gud luck and be ready with your documents.

Hello - here is a question for the group.. If I move to Canada using a student visa and my spouse obtains an "open work permit", using that open work permit she obtains a job. Can she use that job as a "valid job offer" within our joint express entry profile? Thank you!!

She cannot as that is not a valid job offer.

lets hope, after Trump, USA will start its own liberal Express Entry for skilled immigrants... that way the pressure here....
Policies are cyclical in nature. In the United States, immigration would eventually be reformed by prioritizing skilled labor over lucky labor. When and how it will be done is entirely uncertain.

An economy like US can't afford to continue on an incompetent immigration system forever.

Another school of thought is that developed countries need immigration only during good times when unemployment rates are low and economy is booming. Presently, as predicted by various CEOs, we are heading for a mild recession and understandably, this is probably not the right time for USA to prioritize immigration at the top of its To-do list.

Trump is actually doing the right thing for his country. There aren't those many jobs there to support huge influx of immigrants. In my company, the kind of work done by my Indian team (only B.Techs) is same as the work done by Ph.Ds there in US. This exemplifies the bar there to fill in limited positions from a candidate pool with advanced degrees from Ivy Leagues.

To summarize, we should not have high hopes from USA at least in the next 10 years.

Yes you can.
But when submitting application you'll have to show:

-Proof of relationship with your sibling if you gained points for it. Best way to do that is your respective birth certificates, clearly mentioning at least one same parent in both your respective certificates. But it could be another official document, as long as it clearly states at least one parent. Note that affidavits won't work. Many applicants think IRCC will just their word for it...

-Proof of Status as either a Canadian citizen OR permanent Resident. So for that you'll need proof of status. If she's a Permanent Resident, either copy of her PR card OR Record of Landing IMM 1000 OR a signed Confirmation of Permanent Residence IMM 5688. If she's a Citizen, copy of passport will do.

-Proof of Residency, meaning that she's currently living in Canada. That could be an apartment lease with her name on it or hydro/electric bills dated no more than 6 months.

Thanks for the response. I am good with Proof of relationship and Proof of Status, but proof of residency. As I mentioned in the post she is currently in India and only I would be travelling to Canada in April in work visa. Hence just wondering how to show proof of residency of hers?
