I know the wage is important for Employer-Driven Stream. There are two lines:-
*Meets Alberta’s employment and wage standards.
*Show you are offering wages and benefits to the candidate that meet industry standards. Visit the ALIS website for wage and benefit standards

What about Strategic Recruitment Stream ? is the wage important for this stream ??
my job Skill level B and my wage is low, and I'm applying for Strategic Recruitment Stream - Post-Graduate Worker Category

Yes, portal must be open. Employer will pay $230 from his own account. You can request letter but there is no use of it. This is the requirement employer must have to support you. This is the reason you are will be getting bonded workpermit.
Secondly, you can extend on the base of LMIA file number.
Third is if your spouse is studying and you are eligible for workpermit.
I hope it will work for you.

Yes you're correct. but usually for all Alberta nominees, your nomination package comes with the Letter of Support ( 204C) especially if your work permit is close to expire. You can use that to apply for extension esp if your running out of time.

That's what I thought too and the website says that too. Only u need to open employ portal if the cic requested for the letter of support with the $230 employer comlliance fee( close work permit).I talked to an ainp nominee and he told me that we didnt need to open employer portal to get letter of support. They provide it to ainp nominee if they have less than 6 months work permit as long as its not under LMO. Now my question is can I bank on this letter of support to receive AOR and apply for BOWP after that ?? Is it eligible to use letter of support for BOWP ?? Outerwise going for employer portal seems like the less hassle free path if the employer agrees to help !!

Does anybody in this tread know how long it would be for NOC 0125.

Thanks in advance.

Guys, if the processing time has exceeded my application date, can I call in to AINP to get an update on my file? Do they have these facilities where they can provide you an update on your application?

But if we don't have a valid permit they wont nominate us. Correct me if i am wrong.
Talking from experience:
when they call you or e-mail you

1. if you do not have a valid wp or LMIA and the proof that you applied for a new wp your application will be refused
2. even if you are on implied status, they will ask to see a positive LMIA and proof that you applied for a new wp

From my experience: If someone from AINP demands your work permit then they won't accept both, LMIA and proof of your WP application. I had a friend who had applied for work permit and he was on implied status and he had positive LMIA. The AINP office asked for his WP but he requested the AINP officer to wait for few weeks as his work permit application had already exceeded the specified processing time in CIC. Fortunately, she was very good to deal with. She kept his nomination process hold until he got his work permit and that was about 2 months. I don't think every officer will do the same. As soon as he emailed his work permit, she issued his nomination.

True, not all of them are the same, he was lucky, my officer told me straight on the phone while I was on implied status, if you can not proof either positive LMIA (with proof of application) either valid wp, your application will be refused. Two weeks after my wp was issued and mail it to her, she issue the certificate, but she hold my application just because I was able to proof positive LMIA. What I was trying to say with my post is that being on implied status (without LMIA)just to gain a little more time is not going to help applicants with AINP, they need a valid wp.

Closed wp!
The company I worked for ask me to help them with 2 applications for wp . I talk with a immigration officer (think this is how you call them) and he said that if you apply along with letter of support the wp will be closed. The 2 workers indeed got closed wp for 2 years.
