Haven't heard anything from AINP yet

I have been following this thread from a long time. Actually my work permit is expiring next month and neither me nor my employer received any call or email from ainp. Is it ok if I call them to tell about my work permit expiry date and what is the ainp number or should i just wait?

Wow almost 6 weeks after verification call still waiting work permit expire end of July

i just called ainp and they told me i cannot know the status of my file as this option is not available and just check the website for updates. He didnt even ask me my file number or anything.

Yeah. If they give you the status of your file today, there will be tons of people give them a phone call tomorrow. I don't think they can afford that. ???

AINP is just a joke. I applied in February 2014 (skilled worker) and haven't heard from them yet.

Go other province if you can. I heard the Ontario is a nice place.

A lot of jobs than Alberta during this economy, and not so many applicants for pnp. They even came up with a new program that will work for EE.

Don't waste your time guys, more than 10000 applicant for only 5500 nomination. This is the reality.

Just keep in mind people that with the new AINP policy It doesn't matter when you applied, if your NOC is needed now in Alberta you'll be nominated, and if your work permit is close to expire they will open up your file and again if you found you NOC in need right now. They'll nominate you simple as that if not they'll just put it on hold until the economy gets better and more NOC will be demand!

You are right may be it is true for recent applicants who have enough time on their WP but for most here who are waiting for more than 15 months it is not an option but to stick with this crap. We know 5500 slots for 10000 applications but this number is same from last may. and if they continue like this number will remain same for next year too.
Its not only about making everybody wait for long time but also keeping everyone in dark. One hand they are letting applicants WP expire b/c of their noc on other hand still accepting application under same noc.
Wht is the point doing all this? What are they trying to prove here? Why give someone false hope?
I m sure lot of people been here for long time have better understanding of real situation.

There is absolutely no common sense. The guy who runs the program must be crazy. Just stop accepting new applications for god sake same as BC did. I don't get it

Hi guys I am following this page since feb.. 2015.i applied under srs catagories as retail store supervisor in March 2014..after that I didn't heard anything frm ainp that year..but i got call frm ainp officer last week and asking for additional documents..I submitted all docs next day..till than now no respond frm anip..my work permit expire in October first week..is there anybody have same situation as me..now I am little bit worry becoz this week about to finish and nothing get in mail..let me knw
