They say they are processing applications as they receive them which we know is completely false. And now that? I feel so betrayed right now. Working for almost 2 years for Alberta and followed all the procedures to get PR but now it's like nothing even matters anymore. If I knew it would have taken a year to get AINP when I applied in January, I certainly wouldn't have done that. But anyway, there is nothing we can about that...

Why don't you apply under CEC

Update from AINP http://www.albertacanada.com/opportunity/immigrating/ainp.aspx, it says 8-12 months processing since November 26, my application was filed November 26...I think I'm going crazy now :o

One thing I don't understand if they have enough application why sitll accepting new applications.they should stop certain time until finish Last year application.really poor management.

coz based on their story, they are picking ppl who's more eligible for nomination.

I'm curious about your timeline..what category did you applied for? Your application seems faster than most of us

I applied under post-grad under noc 1212.
It's hard to tell if there is still a thing called time line coz my friend (he used to be my classmate in UofC). He applied ON NOV 26 under Post-grad as well,
and RECEIVED his nomination early March(which means they nominated him in about mid-Feb. ) . oh, and got the file number in Dec. 2013 i think.

I'm starting to think that way...but anyways Congratulations you guys didn't have to wait long like we do. It's like endless sleepless nights, endless. 1 nomination from our category AWE is all I need to be positive in this situation again.

this is seriously disgusting and AINP is now playing with applicants.

It seems now many people would be out of work permit and then out of canada. One because of Damm memorandum stopping extension and 1 year processing time of AINP. who the hell have unlimited work permit to extend for years? This is really really bad. We are finally unlucky applicants.
My AOR in Feb file number in March. and expecting nomination according to today's update in November by then work permit will be done.

Where do you get that memorandum about stopping of work extension? I am also planning to do that while waiting for certificate.

Thanks.

Whatever i May write
can't explain the agony we have to go through
this s actually like being played with!
What are they upto!
They have the right to reject or stop applications
then why don't they do that?
Rather than giving sleepless nights to everyone!

I know it's brutal waiting time! But think about ppl who just applied or meaning to apply recently would face a much worse situation! If you are qualify you will get it eventually! BTW, I would do both AINP and CEC together if I was qualify for both.
I remember there is a guy who applied in March and got his nomination in April under AWE (check the recent AINP AWE subject). but dono which NOC he applied under.

Because I'm JUST a semi skilled worker so cannot apply CEC, in other words, my application will be one of the last to be processed as I'm not interesting enough for them...

Their FB said no.
I didn't figure out why they placed that date on which scared lots ppl...
For my understanding it was for some old policy deadline?

I don't think so. Personally thinking, they are actually put semi-skilled worker on priority coz that's what Alberta really need!Even if the AINP program changes in order to fit AB's labor situation, you guys are still on the priority side ! My other friend graduated from SAIT and applied under semi- skilled (not sure NOC code neither, but he works in the field sometimes) in Dec. and received his nomination in March which is faster than mine!
