Relax, its not 8-9 months waiting time. If i m not wrong they are processing mid of nov file, so you should get ainp probably in a month. But after that you need to apply your ppr file quickly so that you can get AOR which take 2-3 months. Once you get AOR you can apply for your work permit extension. You dont have that much time so apply for your ppr as soon as you get your ainp

I think it depends upon the luck, two of my friend's files received on: 30 oct 2017 one of them got nomination on 03 May 2018 and the other one got it on 28 May 2018 under same category EDS Ig Truck drivers. And i applied after two days which was 02 Nov 2017 got file no 20 Nov 2017 but i am still waiting under EDS Sw. According to me the processing time is 7 months and get ready your documents prior to fedral so that you can save your time after noimination to apply your PR.

I was wondering how come u haven't got ainp yet, when someone in this thread from 7 nov in eds-sw stream have already got it. U should really call ainp office

I did call them on 14th of May they said my file is assigned to a case officer, do not know what they are really doing !

Are u sure they are processing mid of nov for EDS IG stream? Actually, I didn’t see any guys post their cases on the website, like in Nov. And I also call the simp office and they told me they were still working on Sep.

Here's my timeline:
EDS - international graduate
Application received - 06 oct
File # 18 oct
Documents requested by email - apr 30 (sent the same day)
Nomination received - may 2

Don't rely too much on their processing time. Always have some extra few months. AINP processing time has been well-known for increasing and delay without notice. Trust me or not, many ppl have been in that situation. So good or bad, just be well prepared at all time instead of "relax".

And if you check their website, you do see: Note: Each application is assessed individually and some take longer to process than others.
