If u r from visa exempt country then may be yes...take all require documents which require to get closed WP like imm 5802 and other documnets.
But if u r not from visa exempt contry then dont try at border if u WP is already expired.try online for closed WP if u dont have AOR from cic with status restoration application too( i m guessing tht u have not applied for new wp before ur last wp expired).
U must quicky apply b/c restoration period ends in 90 days from the date ur WP expired.
