i think since only portion of PNP will be proceessed under EE i think only those ppl will have to follow this guidelines and for those with PNP nomination who processed outside of EE will probably remain same it is right now..that is my best reading through all this.
But how they decide which route you are going? I think when they talk about PNP, they mean that provinces will be choosing people form the pool..so out of 5,500 nomination, portion of it will go to people in the EE pool and that could be anyone, even outside of Canada...

Honestly it is confusing for me too! and it says only that this is the total amount of points one can get (1200), but it doesn't say how many aprox. one need to have to qualify .........

i think starting next month each province will have stream specially for EE with certain quota and those who gets nomination under EE will still have to qualify with one of the fedaral stream and other reuirements i.e language ...
and ppl with nomanation out side EE like right now it will be same as now i think.

there no mimimum points you score to qualify.they will pick applicatans with highest points from pool and send ITA. so more the score the better chances of getting picked up..its like winning lottery. just more points will increase ur odds of wininng..
so good luck friends this is what come down to after all this struggle we go through...lucky draw will decide ur future...what a sham!!!!

I don't know. It's very confusing...But to claim 600 points for job offer, it has to be supported by LMIA..Then what is the point of studying here and getting PGWP..
This is the price we're paying by coming to alberta. ::)

I really wish you were right but i think...people with nomination will be given more points, that is all, but the rest of documents like language test and educational credential equivalency assessment we will have to submit anyway....huhhh i don't know what to think at this point anymore???....

Will have to spend around $500 for english and degree assessment, apply for EE while saving as much money as we can and be ready to go home.

I think they are gonna close all LMIA exemptions for everyone.
No Nominations will help anyone to extend their WP anymore.
If anyone need to work here you will need LMIA that's it.
They're going to make it more difficult for us, especially for people like me who cannot get PGWP again. Only way to work will be LMIA.
Oh Canada !!! Mercy

Well I don't really think they will do that, if someone who has an LMIA and wants to bring his spouse too, they will keep on giving open work permits to the spouse ...otherwise it doesn't make sense ........

here important wording . Subsection 10.1(1) of the Act applies in respect of

(a) the federal skilled worker class referred to in subsection 75(1) of the Regulations;
(b) the Canadian experience class referred to in subsection 87.1(1) of the Regulations;
(c) the federal skilled trades class referred to in subsection 87.2(2) of the Regulations; and
(d) members of the provincial nominee class referred to in subsection 87(2) of the Regulations who are nominated by the government of one of the following provinces under its provincial nominee program express entry stream:
so this speacial stream for each province which falls under EE. untill they further clarify i think PNP ouside EE should be same as now like paper applications to cic. noneed to enter in the pool.i think this why they keep saying portion of PNP which is under EE. how much each province allocate their quota it remains to be seen

How will provinces and territories use the Express Entry system?

Provinces and territories will be able to nominate a certain number of foreign nationals through the Express Entry system to meet their local immigration and labour market needs. If an applicant gets a nomination from a province or territory, they will be given enough additional points to be invited to apply for permanent residence at the next eligible draw of candidates.

Just as they manage their own Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) now, provinces and territories will set the criteria they use to nominate Express Entry candidates.

Express Entry candidates may either:

enter the pool first, and then be nominated by a province or territory; or
be nominated by a province or territory, and then complete an online Express Entry profile.
Note: All prospective candidates (whether PNP applicants or not) must meet the criteria of at least one of the federal immigration programs managed through Express Entry in order to enter the pool, and must submit their application online.

Provinces and territories will also continue to be able to make nominations under their regular (“base”) PNPs outside of Express Entry via a paper application process.

Note: The Province of Quebec does not use Express Entry. They select their own skilled workers. See Quebec-selected skilled workers to find out more.
