Seasons's Greetings from the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). The AINP office will be closed December 25 to December 27. We will not be responding to any questions posted to this page after noon (12 pm) on December 24; responses will be posted starting December 30. Have a very happy holiday season!

I am expecting good news before Christmas, as X-mas gift as most of us wants, too.

I sent my application AINP AWE on Nov 26th got AOR (file number)today Jan 03, (a little bit less than 6 weeks). Now to wait for nomination (maybe 6 months...)

so, do I still need to have an LMO If I already have a file no. from the AINP-AWE?
or how can I be an LMO exempt?

Hi, as far as I know, you will not need an LMO to renew your work permit if you have the AINP certificate;

Secondly, once you have the AINP certificate, you will be applying for PR. Once you have applied for PR and have received the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) and the file number, you actually can apply for the Bridging Open Work Permit with in 4 months before your work permit expires in November 2014.
