I just check the additional form for LIC I think the questions 4,5 & 6 doesn't apply to nursing background. On the q7 Ojt Practicum you can add your nursing training if you have certificate or proof. All the information you place in your application wiill verify by the CEM.

I am a fresh graduate BSN here in the Philippines and I haven't take the board exams yet and I was wondering if it's possible to apply as a caregiver in canada and take the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) afterwards? I have a brother living in toronto and he said he can find me an employer as a caregiver. thanks..

yes, many nurses take that route to familiarize them with Canada first.

hello.. good day to everyone! I'm new to this site..

i am a Licensed Registered Nurse here in the Philippines.
i had my 7months hospital experience as a VOLUNTEER NURSE..
i have now my LMO,and waiting for the contract to arrive.my employer in canada is my aunt's future husband..i will be taking care of his mother in canada.
i took a Caregiving Exam (but i did not enrolled a 6month caregiving course because it says there that RN can just take the exam of caregiving even without enrolling a caregiving course). I passed, thank God. And now, I'm holding a National Certificate II in Caregiving issued by TESDA..
from my own liltle bussiness, i have my earnings so i can pay my SSS.
one requirement i think is the COE.
the problem is, i did volunteer work. will my qualification/experience as a volunteer nurse will affect the processing of my papers? and is SSS will also affect it?

i need someone who will help me with my concern.
your HELP is WELL APPRECIATED.. THANK YOU SO MUCH and GOD BLESS US ALL. :)

Xarm, there are 3 basis to apply under LiCP.(1) 6 months CG training (2) atleast a year work experience with one employer and (3) Education (RN,BSN). If your going to pass your app with the basis of Education and Work experience here is the scenario : your going to pass in Education however you can't make it in your work experience. I read somewhere about someone who pass her app with CG training and work experience. She got refusal bcoz although she convinced the VO she had CG training the VO doesn't satisfy that she had work experienced. You can actually pass your app with the EDUCATION alone. I'm also under LiCP. RN with no experience. I have also a friend same with my situation. Yesterday, the EMbassy asked his Passport. :)

Thank you for replying..

Even if i have in my hands the LMO?

So what is the best thing to do?

COE is now my problem :(

I'm also a registered nurse from PH and am wondering if I can apply as a nurse aid or caregiver in canada. Does my experience still apply to caregiver job in Canada?
Your response would be appreciated.

29 July 2019

I notice that the posts here are already "ancient". However, i still decide to post here for updates on the "caregiver " program.

The Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP) is closed to new applicants. Canada however launched 2 pilot programs , last June 18, 2019, The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot. These are 5-year pilot programs that let qualified caregivers and their family members come to Canada with the goal of becoming permanent residents.

Eligibility:
have a genuine and valid job offer
are able to do the job
meet the language level
meet the education requirement
are admissible to Canada

There is NO NEED of LMIA anymore

To know more details, please join advocacy FB account Filipino Canadian Connect-We Care, London, Ontario where they post updates on various Canadian opportunities or email nexuspbc.services@gmail.com

Another questions:

....can anyone who has a college degree not relating to medical or caregiver, qualify for the new pilot programs?

.... is it required to have work experience in child care for Home Child Care and work experience in taking care of the elderly for Home Support Worker?
