Dear All,

I have arrived in Canada on a work permit and scored 340 points on the federal skilled workers calculator.

My question is is there a cutoff point? and would my points enable me to be eligible for permanent residency.

Thanks,

A

Yes - for Express Entry the current cut off is around 450. 340 is unfortunately far too low to be selected. You'll need to substanially increase your score or look into the PNP programs.

If you are working in Canada on a work permit, you may qualify under the Canadian Experience Class and get more points after one year of working here.
