Hi,

Q1) My work experience is 1 year 11 months. Can I fill out in the application that I have 2 years work experience to claim my 2 extra points. Since it is going to take around 2-3 months to receive my AOR.
Since it would take atleast a few days to reach the immigration office and 1 month to open up my file.
Will it be OK. Will my application be rejected?

Note- I am claiming the 2 extra points to reach a score of 68. I want to apply now because my friend wants to apply now and we can process ours together.

Q2) Do I need to send only the simplified application form Or do I have to send something else also.
Some recommend me for sending a letter introducing myself, the points which i claim, the additional certificates which I have where I cannot get any score even though they highly important in my work(CCNA, MCSE). And this way the immigration officer will have a good impression on me.

Q3) Original Certificates - how will the immigration officer know that these are original certificates. Do I have to get the copies notarized Or do I have to send them to some private organization recommended by CIC to get a stamp.
Please advice me - I am really confused with how they check and to whom, where to get things done from.

Please help me - these questions are killing me and I have dreams every night thinking about these questions. Please help get a proper night sleep.

Rest assured all is fine
Thank you

Hello Chuchu,
A1- Please send application after one month...does not make any difference if you apply now or one month later ...atleast after one month your claim will be justified technically, legally.
A2- Just plaim simplified application form ... nothing else .. they will ask you for other documents or updated information at the later stage when they are ready to work on your application.
A3- There is no need to send any thing ... therefore no question of original or notarized at this moment of time.

Thanks

Hi,

You mean to say if I submit my application now. I put a date for my work experience as
start date - 1st May, 2005
Till date - 1st May, 2007

And if the officer opens my file on 15th April, 2007. He will see that 1st may, 2007 has never come - thats the future - is this guy fooling me or wants to claim extra points - then he goes - this apllication is rejected.
Please advice.

And Q3) is after when I get my AOR ...I wanted to know where, when and how to get notary or send to some private organization. Please advice

Thank you

I don't know about other countries, but here in Pakistan we have Notary PubliC officers who are authorized by Law to Verify Documents.
They are Legal Professionals.

Thanks

Hi PMM/Softncool

Please advice for the below

if I submit my application now on 1st April, 2007. I put a date for my work experience as
start date - 1st May, 2005
Till date - 1st May, 2007 - i will have 2 years work experience and claim 2 more points

And if the officer opens my file on 15th April, 2007. He will see that 1st may, 2007 has never come - thats the future - is this guy fooling me or wants to claim extra points - then he goes - this apllication is rejected.

I also signed the my form ............and the date was 1st April, 2007 - so in this case my work experience has never been 2 years - and I it was a lie - Please advice???

Thats why I ask you send your application after a month. No problem if you have signed it 1st April. Day will count when CIC receive your application and register in their databas. That date should be 1st may or later than that for you to claim 2 year experience points.
