Hello All,
I have a few questions
1. Point no 6 IMM5604
Declaration for Non accompanying
Me and my wife both are Permanent Residents. I am sponsoring my child who is in my home country. My wife is also in my home country. Does this form apply to me ?
Also, it says if the other parent is not listed as co signer on IMM1344 then provide IMM5604 witnessed by notary
public. I am not including my wife as cosigner since she is in my home country. This is quite confusing for me.
Please advise.

2. Point no 12 IMM5475
Authority to release personal information
Is this form applicable to me ?

3. Supporting documents for Sponsor.
Point no 6
Additional Proof of Relationship
Can I submit my child's passport in this case ? which shows the Relationship between us. I can't see that I can submit any other document in this case. I think I may provide a letter of explanation in this case ?

Your child in home country was born since you became a PR? (All below is assuming this is the case()

5604 does not apply, would only be used if eg children were not to accompany a parent moving to Canada (from a previous marriage, for example).

I do not see where it says that other parent must be listed as co-signer etc. Where did you see this? (I'm not certain, just don't see what indicates that both must sign)

If your spouse will travel with the child, you may want to include a short note explaining that you are initiating the sponsorship and they will return together.

Don't believe so as you will be signing on behalf of the child in most cases. On the other hand, providing it (e.g. for spouse) may help avoid any problems and be convenient. If it turns out you didn't need it, it won't cause any problems.

Passport, birth certificate should be fine. Include a short note if you wish. Main thing is to include the document (birth certificate for example) that lists both parents.

Thanks for your reply Armoured.

1. I became PR in 2017 and my child was born in June 2020.

2 I did not say that they have mentioned that wife must be a cosigner. But if you read the checklist IMM5534 Part A Forms required point no 6, it says if other parent not listed as cosigner in IMM1344 then please provide Completed IMM5604 witnessed by notary public.

Rest of the things are clear.

Better to have spouse co-sign (she is a pr and compliant?). I don't know if there's a way to have it done apart from having her sign and courier it to you.

Compliant with the residency obligation, that is, has met the requirements. (not complaint)

And glad to hear they'll take photocopy of signature in this case.
Currently she lives in my home country and will come along with my child to Canada.

Every PR needs to know their RO (residency obligation)
To keep your permanent resident status, you must have been in Canada for at least 730 days during the last five years.

Hello,

I am trying to link my application online and I have 2 questions.

I am sponsoring my Son. In the current status do I give my status or my Son's status (Married, Single)?

Also, I am getting the below error:

Our system is currently unavailable. Please try again later. Can someone please help me.

Thank you.

So shall I submit IMM5475 or not ?
