Questions about working in Canada as a visitor (for a US company)

I'm planning on visiting my girlfriend in Canada (I am a US citizen) for 6 months. During this time I would like to work online remotely for my US employer. The company I work for does not have any Canadian customers, but we do receive print services from a Canadian company. We pay them, they don't pay us. Would this be an issue?
