Question regarding tax information to include in the CEC application

Hi there.

I have a question regarding the tax papers I need to include in my CEC application.

In the document checklist it reads: ''include: Copies of your T4 tax information slips and your Notice of Assessment (NOA) issued by the Canada Revenue Agency for the periods of work experience you identify in your application'',

however, when I go to H&R Block (who filed my taxes) to retrieve these papers, they say that they no longer have access to them, maybe because my SIN number is no longer valid.

My work permit expired this august, so I am currently here on a tourist visa, and hence without a sin number.
Now I tried calling Canada Revenue Agency directly, but they are completely impossible to get a hold of.

So now I reach out to you people. I hope someone hear might have an idea as to what I can do.
I am getting kind of desperate, as I don't know when window for CEC applications will close.

Hope you guys can help!

you can (usually) print both your T4 and NOA from the CRA website -

try to use your expired SIN.

Call CRA at 1-800-959-8281 and hit star (*) to speak with an agent, M-F during business hours (typically 9-5 at this time of the year). If you can't get it online and you don't have original copies any more (which HR block never should have kept anyway?), whatever they may have to offer is likely your best bet.

Would your former employer consider writing a reference letter (requirements for the letter outlined in the document checklist)?

You may not be able to get hold of the CRA call center agent at one try. I usually have to call atleast 10-15 times before my call actually gets connected and I can choose to speak to an agent. So keep calling and I'm sure you will be able to get through. Call center agents are very helpful and I'm sure they'll be able to help you as well.
