Question regarding PR

Hi all,

Today I recorded my RPRF request. My wife is a teacher and we have planned on going away in August. She already bought the trip for a week. I'm in quite dilemma. As looking at the time line I don't think I'll have my PR card in time.

How can I go about this so I can go away in August for sure? Should I wait till August to land, please advise??

Did you get your passport request too, or just the RPRF request? (Or are you both from a visa-exempt country?)

When you receive your COPR, it will indicate a validity date, you have to land before the expiry of the COPR. So check that date when you get it, you will probably be able to land on your way back.

Thanks for your quick reply. No I'm not from visa exempt country.currenty I have bowp but my trv is expired. Do I have to Renew my trv once I get the Copr? Can I get trv when I have Copr??

Dude You r complicating things unnecessarily
Right now u have got a RPRF request.
Once u get ur Passport request... Cic will stamp your passport with a travel visa which will surely be valid till end of december 2015 if not more..
Then in case u have a plan to leave Canada in August... For a week... U r right.. That u might not receive PR cards by that time. But u don't necessarily have to do your landing before August.. As mentioned in the previous post... U can do ur landing while returning back
