Hi all!

I have a question regarding my employment letter. The company I used to work for has changed its name to something else and they have agreed to give me employment letter on the new name however they will mention in the letter saying the name has changed. My payslips and tax forms are on old name.
My question is should I mention the old name or new name when I am creating profile express entry profile?
My second question- When I was working in India my title was Senior Process Associate, the responsibilities are same as of Administrative Assistant. I asked my HR if they can give me the letter saying Senior Process Associateis equivalent to Administrative Assistant(NOC 1241) and mention all the roles and responsibilities in the letter.Should that be fine?

If anyone can answer my 2 questions I will be very thankful

1. If it is a possibility include both name with one of the name within brackets.
2. Your employer cannot mention "equivalent to Administrative Assistant" in employment reference letter as your employer is not competent enough to do that comparison especially in matters of immigration.

Your reference letter should contain only your job title, not what it's equivalent to.

When it comes to matching your job to a NOC code, the job title doesn't matter at all. All that matters is the roles and responsibilities.

The name of they company in your profile should correspond to the name mentioned in the reference letter. You can add a letter of explanation with your application and explain the name change and why your payslips have another name. It's good that HR will also mention the name change in the letter - this will support your explanation.

The name of the position doesn't matter. There is no point in asking HR to mention a NOC code or a NOC title. Whether your duties match the selected NOC will be determined by the visa officer looking at your application. That's not within the competency of your HR.
