Hi all,
I have a question I hope someone can help me with. We sent our outland application to CIC months ago; my husband's request to sponsor me was approved last November, but my application is still being processed.
However, my husband will be moving to Canada within the next couple of months, and we are planning to sell our house in the US within the same time frame. I am a permanent resident in the US, but I have to be in my country of citizenship for two or three months over this spring and summer to engage in research related to my profession. For financial reasons I am not going to be able to rent a place in the US for the period I will be away, and so I will not easily have an address in the US after my husband had left and/or after I have left the US to do my research work.
My question is, can I (as an outland applicant) change my address on file with CIC to the address my husband is moving to in Canada? Would that raise red flags or problems?
Any help or advice much appreciated!
