Hi all,
With your help from my earlier post, I went through the documents and have marked [X] the ones that I need to submit for spouse sponsorship.

After making the list I was wondering should I suppose to go through document list provided with the Immigrants Guide for Number 21 onwards which are applicable to me?

And the other question is my future wife is living in Bangladesh right now and I will apply out land for her. Now she doesn't have a passport so I asked her to get one so that I can bring the photocopy of that on my way back in July03 from Bangladesh. The thing is if she applies now in her passport what to put as marital status as she is not married yet but by the time I apply for her she will be. What you think in this case should I ask her to put? I am also planning to go outside for honeymoon after getting married so that I can show that as proof too.

Below is the List I prepared, correct me if I made a mistake please.

My Details: || PR Since June, 2012 in Montreal, QC | got engaged on Nov08, 2012 | Will get married on June07, 2013 | Me + Wife both Bangladeshi Citizen ||

Hi bro I have a question, i don't know if you still read through this forum.

"26. Originals of police clearance certificate - As per document list provided with The Immigrants Guide"

Did you have to get police clearance for your wife's parents/brother & sisters? (I know it sounds strange, but the Immigrant's guide says, 'each family member').

Hi imaroth,

Here family means you, your spouse and your kids only, not the siblings or parents of you or your wife.

Hope it will help.

Yes, I would use the 'Documents checklist' provided. It's actually a required form that must be submitted with your application anyway.

Have her put down her correct marital status as per the date she signs the passport application. Imagine she puts "married", her passport is issued, and THEN she gets married on unsaid date in the future. CIC officer may look at that and think "What the H..." and cause all sorts of problems for your application thinking she's been previously married.

As truesmiles mentioned, have your future wife apply for passport as single as that is what she is currently is when she applied for passport. If she applied for passport as married, that is fraud as she was not married at the time of passport application.
