I believe it's a rotating strike, so it's not complete paralysis. But yes, there definitely some evident delays.

I am confused! so does that mean all the visas are on hold?? well i see some people got some visas and other people their status changed in their e cas! so how come??

We do know:
Not everyone in every dept has walked out.
Canadian embassies have been impacted.
All processing times for are being impacted - not on hold, just slower

We speculate
CIC is moving resources around to give some coverage on each dept

CEC is processed In Canada, regardless of where you sent your application to.

this part isn't speculation, it's been reported that they are using available resources to process the backlog of temp visa apps.

CEC is processed In Canada, regardless of where you sent your application to.

just one more question, not only canadian embassies are impacted! also the applications process in canada are impacted too, is that true? in other word, do people apply in canada are impacted as well or only the people apply out side canada are impacted?

Why do you behave like that? This isn't the first time you dismissively tell someone to search out their question. This isn't YOUR forum, you're not REQUIRED to answer any questions, and you're not a moderator so stop acting all exasperated when you see a question that has been asked before and either answer people's questions or don't say anything at all...or at least be polite when pointing out the search feature.

Why do you think the search facility is there? The question has already been answered, and the answer is readily available. Lots of people are lazy, and instead of doing any kind of basic search they just ask the question - again. Nothing wrong with telling people to do a search!

I'm perfectly aware that I don't need to answer, and you don't need to respond to my posts. Your response is far more rude and personal than mine. I gave the answer and reminded them to do a search. You personally attacked me. It's people like you that are the problem around here, not me.
