Good afternoon I have a question about the reference letter.
I read topics before about the problems you could face by faking reference letters.
My question is: My wife has been working for 2 years as a customer service representative and her boss told her he would help her making her a reference letter changing the position name and the responsibilities (help desk position) in order to fit a NOC and get the points.
Do you think in this case having the consent of the owner of the company who will create the reference letter and sign it we could have problems?
She has been actually working there and continue to work there.
We have pay stub and we have submitted our taxes twice.
So to summarize she has been working for 2 years, the company does exist and its a legal company with employees and everything. Only thing is that she works as a customer service representative and we want to do a letter stating she is a help desk position and match the NOC to get the points. all with the approval and consent of the owner of the company.
Thank you!

The roles and responsibilities have to match more than the title of the NOC.

Faking a reference letter / misrepresenting your wife's role is fraud and misrepresentation. Anything you submit to IRCC should be 100% true and accurate.

The roles and responsibilities have to match more than the title of the NOC.
I realize but the idea will be to have the roles and responsabilities to match the desire NOC.

I understand this is a shady thing to do, but it was my boss who offer us to help us with the reference letter in order to not lose my wife.
She told him she would have to leave eventually to find a qualify job and he told us he will help us making our reference letter to pass as a technical position with the responsibilities and roles that falls into the Noc that gives the points.

Putting aside the fact of the warning of misrepresentation and all of that in this case if is our boss, the owner of the company, who wants to make us the letter to fit as a technical position and he will provide all the details of the position and responsibilities, he will add his business card all his information and we will provide pay stubs and all of that, do you still think the government will realize ? do they have any way to find out?
She is working there, she filled her taxes twice with that company as a T4 and the position we want to have on the reference letter is help desk and my wife is an engineer so its not like a philosophy student saying he is working in an IT profession.

If someone put aside the fact of misrepresentation and answer us if is possible to do this considering is my boss who is offering it to us.
Thank you!

As I stated before I understand that, but putting that aside and considering is my boss, the owner of the company, who offer us the reference letter in order not to quit right now and find a qualify job, if he is willing to issue a letter changing the customer service position to help desk position providing all the information of the role and responsibilities, his contact information plus business card.
Do you still think we will have a problem? I read lot of cases of people asking about the issues of misrepresentation but I think this is the first time someone is writing about doing to the same but because our boss wants to help us do it and provide the required information.
All the papers will be provided by him.
So once again and realizing your warning of "this is misrepresentation " if our company will provide the reference letter do you still think cic will investigate? we are talking about a help desk position and my wife is an engineer its the most normal thing in the world for an engineer to be a help desk when starting.
Thanks.

It's misrepresentation if what she does everyday doesn't match with what's stated in the reference letter. Doesn't matter who's offering to write the letter.

Probably no one can talk you out of it if you really want to proceed with this. Just bear in mind this is misrepresentation and there could be consequences.

Good Evening !!
My wife has 3yrs of work experience , out of which she has experience letter/ reference letter from her organization for 2 years.
For the thirds year she changed her employer but that employer did not provide any reference/experience letter.
My question is
1) Will it be ok to get a reference letter from her colleague/Head of Department and get the letter notarized from India ?
2) She has paystubs for the 3rd year , will that help as proof of work experience ?
3) Can anyone share a template on how we can get the experience letter from employer

Thanks & Regards,
Victor
