Hi All,

I had a quick question. Basically, my company had got ready to apply for LMIA. And I was yet to choose an immigration consultant to assist my company with the LMIA procedure. And it might take about a month.

So I was wondering, in the meantime, if my company can already start the process of LMIA by posting the advertisements of my job positions on different websites to save them some time.

So that, by the month ends my consultant could go ahead with the application and next process involved.

Expert advise please. Thanks for reading.

Your employer can post the ads whenever they want.

Thnks for the reply
Also May I please know how many advertising websites do I have to post my position on and which one of them has to be paid advertisement?

You have to meet the advertising requirements outlined here:

https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/foreign-workers/hire/median-wage/high/recruitment.html

Sites like kijiji, etc. don't count. The ads have to be posted on sites like Linkedin, Workopolis, etc.

The employer also has to post the job on Job Bank or the provincial equivalent.

Again, follow the instructions in the link above.
