I became a landed PR in July 2019. But I returned to the US and was mostly in the US between July 2019 and Dec 2020. I permanently moved to Canada in Dec 2020.

Between July 2019 and Dec 2020, I visited Canada twice as a PR (~20 days). I didn't hold any visitor visa for Canada. I entered using my PR card but did not have any permanent address in Canada. Stayed in hotels during my visits (I was exploring places to decide where to move to). Will these ~20 days count towards my physical presence?

I plan to apply for my citizenship in the 30 days and am looking for confirmation that these days will be considered valid for physical presence calculation. Of course, I plan to add some buffer to be safe....just curious though. Thanks!

Every day of physical presence counts, regardless of whether you were established in Canada or elsewhere. The calculator will give you credit for these 20 days.
