Dear All Many Thanks in Advance for Any Answer:

My wife recently received the following note from CIC in pdf letter format to email:

/It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements./

1) However, prior to this I did not receive a letter concerning my sponsorship approval. My question is does this mean I am approved as hear sponsor or do I continue to wait for the letter.

2) Is this normal anyone else have this experience.

Finally, many thanks to the individuals who support this site with answers.

this sounds like you applied INLAND, which has a different process than OUTLAND. INLAND sponsors do not get a sponsor approval letter like OUTLAND sponsors do. This is your wife's AIP (approval in principle) and i believe the "sponsor approval" is part of that process or will be part of the rest of the INLAND process.

As CDNPR2014 mentioned above, it is your AIP. The only thing I would add, is that inland applicants DO receive sponsorship approval, however for some applicants the letter never reaches the sponsor, some even do not get the AIP, and go straight to decision.
Anyways, congratulations, hope you will get the decision made letter soon!

The Inland applicant would never receive AIP if the sponsor had not been approved.

Even if the sponsor has not received the letter (in Appendix G from the Inland Processing manual), the sponsor has been approved if AIP has been issued.
