Query regarding my EMail Address in CIC Records

Hello Friends,

I did not receive that email yesterday for RPRF (but nothing to worry as I know many people did not), but that made me think the possibility of my email address in CIC records.

Background:
I applied for my PR on my own (no Lawyer, only supported by this forum )
WHile my PR is in process, I applied for BOWP (Nov/2015) through my company's attorney. He had filled his address as the Mailing address and also added his email address in the main form I filled in. Now when I go online to check the status of my PR, I see my 'Home Address' but the 'Mailing Address' is what I mentioned in the latest BOWP application i.e. address for the attorney...
That makes be believe/feel that even the email address in CIC records might have changed...Is there a way that I can check what email address would CIC have in their records? Because I would not like to miss important communication from CIC......

Will this information be available in the GCMS notes? or is there a different way?

Any help in this regard would be truly appreciated....

Hi ABS,

I have the same issue and concern, but my situation is reciprocal to your situation.
I applied for PR through my lawyer and then after I applied for BOWP myself. So when lawyer filed my PR application he put his e-mail add and his mailing address too.
But when I applied for BOWP so my ECAS showing my mailing address. So what happened actually when you apply latest for something they can put at times your latest info. But still they have your old e-mail and mailing add in their file.
Only one way you can check is to call CIC call centre and ask which e-mail and mailing add they have in their records, this thing will not show up in GCMS notes.

No I did not, was thinking to ask but then thought this e-mail does not mean anything. So no point to ask.

yea, the email doesn't mean anything, but doesn't hurt to ask, just to be reassured that emails are going to the correct place.
I can not see anywhere online to check or update email address.

You are right...even I have dropped a note to my lawyer to confirm if he got the email yesterday...lets see what he says

E-mail address will not show any where, it can be confirmed only by call centre agents. If they open your file.
