Anyone has any experience with Indian Consulate NYC for PCC? I have mailed my documents to them. I am not sure how much time they will take to process it.

On the forum, one of the members had reported getting his passport back in 2 weeks - I applied in person at Atlanta and got it in a week - so I guess it sounds about right for a mailed application considering the courier timelines

Thanks. I hope I get it in time. June 13th is my medical.

Btw... I am seeing lot of people migrating to Canada... I am just doing for PR.. Don't have concrete plan and that's kind of scary thought for me. How about yourself. ? Job? Settlement etc?

Typically, they want to look at the person .. not that the person has to do anything, I think it is just to confirm that the person exists

You would need a PCC from every country where you have spent 6 months. And the 6 mounths is counted cumulatively, e.g. if you spent 2 months in singapore in 2008, another 2 months in 2009 and another 2 months in 2015, then that totals to 6 months and thus you would need a PCC.
Hello All,

I'm in USA, so what is the procedure to get PCC done from INDIA.

Anyone in the forum has the passport issued in US.
I went for my PCC and they said that the PCC data for one of the states is not available with them. Anybody having an idea how much time does it take to get the PCC from the Indian Embassy in such cases?

Thanks, For PCC there are two options.
1 if you stay in india
2. you stay outside of india

As per guidelines i need get PCC for all countries where I stayed more than 6 months.
I'm in USA and can get PCC from consulate in USA.
Do I need get PCC from India (Home City) also, if yes then how can I get because I'm in USA
