May be I am wrong, I do not think there can be a reasonable explanation of not having fresh certificate. You are in a hurry to apply asap but my understanding is that they must be fresh, maximum 6 month old. Other people can right if I am wrong. You can order certificates being abroad, there is no need to visit country to get certificate.

thanks, but other than police certificates, is there anything else to avoid an application return ?
Should i send copies of visas for countries that i have visited ? along with travels form 5662

guys please share your timelines so that we can see from where actually they have left processing the applications. asking to those whose file is from july 2017 or before.

As far as I now you need to give another biometrics for PR. The biometrics for the visa one are not valid.

Biometrics for Permanent Residence Applications
The Government of Canada says anyone applying for permanent residence will need to give their biometrics and pay the fee regardless of whether they have provided biometrics in the past to support a visitor visa, study or work permit application or a different application for permanent residence (provided they do not meet the requirement for exemption listed below).

Thank you for your reply, usually how do they send the biometrics letter, by mail or through the CIC account? As I mentioned, the status says that I need to submit fingerprints but I have not received a mail or a message requesting this.
