Sometimes you never know.

I suppose mine is Ottawa, but nothing indicates it.
Some have correspondence (MR for example) in the form of email and it can indicate the bvc.

Me , i received MR in mycic so no email from bvc till now...(apart from AOR and mycic notifications)

Yes
when do we get to know our VO after getting an AOR. after how many months?
1- your supposed visa office is written on your CSQ.
2- you can know your VO office through their correspondence with you. Be it MR or other request.
3- you can call CIC or send them CSE and simply asked to know your visa office.

It's hard to miss MR if you did not apply via Lawyer/Consultant. You get email with forms attached. You get emails regarding updates to eCAS/MyCIC. You also see updates in eCAS/MyCIC if you login.
i did my MR by March 31st , still waiting . today is the date of celebration , anniversary of PR file ..

Apply for federal before csq expires
based on this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob302.asp
we must submit an application 12 months of the date of CSQ issuance !!!
(Before this regulatory change, economic immigrants who had applied for and received a CSQ were required to submit an application for permanent residence to a visa office overseas within the 12 month period following the date of CSQ issuance. If an economic immigrant selected by Québec failed to apply for permanent residence within that 12 month period, the CSQ would become null and void)

Already feeling a Canadian now. Laptop screensaver is now Canadian Flag and was singing "Oh Canada" while driving to Office. People noticed me adding "eh" to every sentence since last evening :p
Sorry i had a terribly long week at work. Well, looks like i'm a little late for the party =P.... in any case, congratulations!!! =D hope your landing process goes as smoothly as possible (please, let us know). I think I speak for many when I say that you were/are a great member of the forum always helping people in anyway possible, and i'm glad to see you finally had some good news.

I'm sorry to see that processing times have gone up one month again (that's twice this year they did that), and that many of you feel frustrated. I wish i had a simple answer to make you all feel better. =/

As a short answer to some of the posts from the previous days....no, I do not think Quebec is really concerned about immigrants.... not in a "friendly" way at least (maybe only in limiting it to a minimum). I sincerely doubt they will ever go with Express Entry, as that would mean that they would be treated as other provinces, and that possibly other potential immigrants would come to the province. Their main objective is to limit incoming immigrants to those they consider "acceptable" for the province... if for that to happen the federal stage takes longer, then so be it (in their perspective), for them it is more important to feel they have control over who comes (by granting the CSQ). Add to that the fact that many outland applicants actually wait years for their CSQ, as well as just how hard it is in many cases for foreigners to have academic qualifications recognized to have access to regulated professions and the end result is very frustrating for applicants. Don't get me wrong, I love living in MTL and like many aspects of quebecois culture, but i don't kid myself: the province of quebec does nothing to ease immigration, including before and after they settle in the province. It is an attitude of "you don't like the system? go elsewhere".

I mean... 30,000 economic applicants per year in a province of 8,000,000 people? that is less than half a percent! =(

If anyone else feels like writing a letter to their MPs as well, go ahead. Who knows.... maybe with enough people, maybe CIC could bring MIDI back to the table to negotiate a new immigration deal.

I stand by my previous posts and simply hope and wish that at some point in the near future CIC will unblock many applications and start moving faster.

Best wishes for everyone, and good luck!

Congrats @APPNOV2014NY

That is correct...

I went to a presentation from MIDI about obtaining your CSQ at the university in montreal... and they mentioned that you have a year to apply for federal. Someone from the audience actually did ask the guy what was the purpose of having a CSQ for 3 years if you have to apply within a year. The guy presenting just laughed and say "yeah, not very useful, is it?"

Hello @mriekje - Didn't you apply for Federal PR 1+ year after CSQ was issued? If yes, then could you please share your experience here? Thanks in advance.

I am waiting for CSQ but I curious to know what kinds of documents do need for federal stage ?
Not much anything. A birth certificate, criminal record clearance document from the police (from any country where you lived), CSQ and a bunch of forms that need to be filled in. Piece of cake compared to CSQ in terms of documents.
