May I ask what your eCAS usually looks like before the decision has been made? How many action lines do you have and do they keep updating during the process?
I have just four lines:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 7, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 16, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on February 16, 2017.
4. Medical results have been received.

This is regarding adding non accompanying new born in on going application

I got information from cic that I need to fill in below forms

1. Generic form
2 . Background declaration form

No fees is required to pay as the new born is non accompanying

Docs required
1. Only birth certificate

I am bit confused on the doc required as my baby is born outside canada so am I still don't need a passport ?

Can anyone give kind suggestions on doc required

Which forms did you use for non-accompanying family member? I recently got married, and I've only sent my wife's information along with her passport copy and birth certificate. Can you point me to the generic and background declaration forms? Thanks!

Yes this keeps updating based on case to case basis - i have seen eCAS of my friend who has multiple lines as some docs were requested from him ..

Hmm. So basically eCAS is not a very predictive or accurate tool. It does not tell you if any specific stages like eligibility or security have been completed.
